How to find peace amidst of it all

”Everything will be okay in the end, and if it’s not okay, it’s not the end.” To embrace peace in moments of distress and chaos may not be the easiest thing to do. However, in times like these it’s more important than ever that we take that deep breath, and let go of feelings such as anxiety and fear. When our bodies are stressed they are more receptive to diseases. Therefore, it’s of utmost importance that we act from wisdom and rationality, rather than from fear and panic.  With that being said, what can we do right now, in order to diminish distress and worry? I’ve listed significant steps and habits to adopt that can be helpful in reducing stress in our lives. To find balance between being aware of what’s going on, but at the same time – don’t let it consume our inner state of being in a way that may become fatal. It’s a difficult time for all of us, as a great amount of people will suffer not only physically and mentally, …

The importance of trusting oneself

”More faith than fear.” A key ingredient in this beautiful, yet unpredictable life is trusting oneself. As soon as you begin to trust yourself you’ll learn how to dance through life, while developing into a courageous and compassionate human being. Wherever you choose to go, begin to cultivate all these wonderful things that you are. When you start to put complete trust in yourself you’ll automatically become more confident in your own skin. What determines your worth? Think about it for a minute. Is it your looks? The amount of friends you have? Your income? Your job title? Where you were born? Your skin color? Or do you depend on other people, to make you feel valuable? Start by questioning your belief systems. Why do you have them, and where do they steam from? Be clear, and completely honest with yourself when answering these questions. Writing your thoughts down might make it easier to understand yourself as you read your words out loud. The goal is not to judge yourself, but to better yourself, and …

How to get through difficult change

”Your eyes talk to me all the time. Totally unaware of your words, speaking their own, unique language.   I like that language.”   Change is inevitable, growth is optional. Whether or not it’s good change, bad change – change we create ourselves or change that we don’t have control over – both natural, and spontaneous changes will happen throughout your life. Don’t resist the seasons changing, since that only creates sadness and even more struggle, instead learn to flow with the current. Letting things flow naturally is, however, easier said than done. It requires a great deal of patience and an eagerness to reclaim the power that might have been lost along the way. Last but not least, you should always remember not to be too hard on yourself. You’re only human after all. ”It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” – Charles Darwin With this being said, below you’ll find a few life perspectives that hopefully can assist you when you find …

Surrendering into the arms of the wild

”The courage of letting go. Surrendering into the arms of the wild.” As Eckhart Tolle so neatly puts it: ”Sometimes surrender means giving up from trying to understand, and becoming comfortable with not knowing.” Life is about finding the balance between what you can control, and what you cannot. Sometimes surrendering is the breakthrough you need. Let me tell you about a dream I had a couple of nights ago.  ♦I had this cute white labrador puppy, but wasn’t he a pain in the butt. It was a complete struggle every time I had to take him out for a walk. It was like he did anything to get out from that leash; he didn’t appreciate to be told what to do, and neither did he wish to be controlled. Every walk was a fight to win. And eventually the leash broke. The thing with which I tried to control my puppy ultimately fell apart.♦ I’m usually not one of those that decipher my dreams, but I felt this one had something to teach me. …

What would you do if you weren’t afraid?

”Darling I know, some things take insane bravery. But after that you’ll be free.”   Fear is always about the next moment, not about what is happening right now. Fear is something yet to be, or something that does not exist. The fear is simply existing because you’re not living with life, you’re living with your mind.  I’ve been thinking a lot about fear lately, and why it’s so common that we humans are so afraid of the unknown, afraid of taking risks and going after our dreams (at least I know I struggle with feelings like these more often than not, and I bet I’m not the only one). But the more I think about it, by letting fear take over we let our imagination run wild (in a negative sense). We focus on questions such as – what if I fail? And what if it works out, what then? These are questions that keep us stuck in our comfort zones, questions that prevent us from even trying. A question I like to ask …

Define what success & happiness mean to you

”We rise by lifting others.”   When nothing is certain, anything is possible. My personal opinion when it comes to success is that I believe successful people are those who are living their passion, following their dreams and pursuing their goals in life – even though, at times, the path might be uncertain. Even though the path is dark, their inner light will always guide them.  It’s rather easy, and common, to talk about what we want in life; we write about it, and dream about it. We might even visualize how we achieve our dreams and our goals. But for many of us, it all stops there. What traits do successful humans have, that the persons who is stuck in their dreams, and keep on being stuck in their dreams, do not have? Below you’ll find ten traits that I strongly believe will have a great impact whether one becomes successful or not. Nevertheless, success looks different for everyone. Therefore it’s of utmost importance that you define what success and happiness mean to you. …

It’s all magic

”I allow magic to enter my life.”   We live in a vast world, surrounded by an never ending space of pure light, and darkness. We are spinning around within a universe, embraced by planets, stars, galaxies, love and pure bright light. The body you’re in is capable of doing a lot of wondrous things; it can give birth to new life, whether it’s a creative project or a new human being. It can create beauty, excitement, joy and laughter. Our human brain can create innovations, dreams and realities. Being human, means we’re here to create. We’re here to create magic. There are a lot of things occurring each and every day on this planet that we humans simply can’t understand, or explain with our words. Our western society has taught us that if we can’t back up our statements with proper facts and figures, and give a perfect reason for something happening it can’t be valid. It can’t be true. And god forbid if we put our trust into something which can’t be explained …

By your side, dear intuition

”I may not be brave, but my eyes speak the truth.” random thoughts of the day. i’m a free spirit. within me is a strong need for freedom. a strong need for serenity and calm sea. i want to feel alive. i want to feel that i am the one in control of my life, the one in control of my decisions. i want to be me, and i want you to be you. i do not easily fall in love, however, if i meet a person with whom i connect i usually feel it at once. this happens whether it’s a friendship, a colleague, or someone i would fall into a love relationship with. it hits me at once. the feeling is there, and i can’t hide from it. when i fall for another human being i feel it throughout my entire body. my emotions speak vividly. they speak through my heart. through the butterflies going freakin wild in my belly. nevertheless, a pure physical connection has never been enough for me, i need …

Be patient with yourself

”No one is an overnight success story. Put in the work.”   Sometimes what we want doesn’t happen when or how we want it to. But that doesn’t mean the answer is ”no” it just mean ”not right now”, or ”I have a better plan for you, sincerely the Universe”. I believe the main difference between successful and unsuccessful people is not the way they vary in their competencies, but the way they vary in their ambition, and desires to reach their potential. Persistence is key, since good things usually take time. In the beginning of summer I felt rather unmotivated, in other words I felt a deep lack of inspiration. However, I didn’t let it get to me. I decided to focus on simply being present in the now (and not to worry about my lack of motivation), spending time with friends and family, working, and just enjoying warm summer days (and magical evenings). This past week, however, has been completely different. My entire being is bursting with inspiration. I can’t sleep at night …

End of the year intentions

”Everything you need, seek and long for is already within.” I feel it’s a beginning of a new cycle of life. Not only because August is knocking on our doors, but I can feel fresh faced optimism floating in the air. Do you sense it as well? I’m a firm believer in writing my intentions, goals and dreams down, preferably on a piece of paper. I guess I am more of a dreamer/planner than a doer. However, my intentions for 2019 was all about taking action and believing in myself and my abilities. Now, looking back on these past 7 months, I sense a stronger confidence has slowly started to grow within me, as well as a strong feeling of being connected to something greater than my physical being. When it comes to intentions, you can choose to write daily, weekly, monthly and/or yearly intentions. I prefer to write my intentions in the beginning of every month, as well as set one daily intention that helps guiding me throughout the day. Setting intentions not only …
