8 ways to get into a creative flow

”The one who falls and gets back up is much stronger than the one who never fell.” It’s easy to lose sight of creativity when things don’t happen as quickly as hoped for. You don’t see any results, something negative happened, or maybe you wake up one morning feeling unmotivated for no particular reason. In these situations it’s even more important that you hold on to hope, and try to see the moment for what it is – a moment to reflect, and recharge. Getting back into your groove again. One crucial thing to bear in mind when going through times feeling uninspired and unmotivated, is to accept your feelings. Don’t take them too seriously, since they are temporarily, and you don’t need to invite them in for tea – keep the door open. Don’t push yourself to feel a certain way, to be something you’re not. The lack of motivation is only a phase, and sometimes the only thing you can do is to breathe a little deeper, and take a step back. Even …

How to change your mindset

”Respond to every call that excites your spirit.” – Rumi   A fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s a new mindset. Research shows that our thoughts are 95% repetitive and 85% negative. In other words; we’re constantly repeating negative thoughts. Isn’t it convenient to start living life on autopilot, especially when life gets busy, and there are distractions of all kinds drawing our attention? In most cases we’re not even aware of the thoughts we’re having, and how they might affect us.  To begin with; there might be many different reasons why we humans feel the need to change, however, I read somewhere that there are two main reasons that usually stand out; either our minds have been opened to something new, whether it’s a new way of thinking through facing new experiences, or meeting someone with a completely different mindset from our own. The second reason is when facing a traumatic event or experience; maybe we got our hearts broken, lost a dear friend or family member, or fell ill to a disease …

Talk about what you love

”Dear life, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”   My darlings, let’s talk about the things we love, shall we? I love soft hearts, the birth of a new season, watching the sky, at night, brimming with stars. I love a white canvas, painting my life, feeding my soul. I love talking to strangers, deep conversations, I smile, when you smile. I love waking up early dawn, life’s still asleep, my heart wide awake. I love writing, feeding you hope, feeding you joy and laughter. I love the moon, the sun, and the stars. I love summer. In fact, I love all seasons. Autumn, winter, spring. I love the serenity of nature, the richness and wisdom she provides. I love books. Oh, how I adore a great book. I love walking in an empty street, the stillness, the force of life running through my veins. I love a crowded market place, a foreign country, conversations …

How to get through difficult change

”Your eyes talk to me all the time. Totally unaware of your words, speaking their own, unique language.   I like that language.”   Change is inevitable, growth is optional. Whether or not it’s good change, bad change – change we create ourselves or change that we don’t have control over – both natural, and spontaneous changes will happen throughout your life. Don’t resist the seasons changing, since that only creates sadness and even more struggle, instead learn to flow with the current. Letting things flow naturally is, however, easier said than done. It requires a great deal of patience and an eagerness to reclaim the power that might have been lost along the way. Last but not least, you should always remember not to be too hard on yourself. You’re only human after all. ”It’s not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” – Charles Darwin With this being said, below you’ll find a few life perspectives that hopefully can assist you when you find …
