Mindset is everything

”Chaos is only understood when it’s loved by the wild, not the weak.”   I believe in me, and you should too; believe in yourself. Do not become small for people who refuse to grow. The less you respond to negative people, the more peaceful your life will become. Remember that no one is coming to save you. This life is 100 % your responsibility. Brave human, never settle again.    ”The hardest step she ever took was to blindly trust in who she was. – Atticus Believing in yourself is the first secret of success. Your mind will always believe everything you tell it. Feed it with love. Feed it with truth. It’s never too late to start living the life you always dreamt of. One day you just have to decide to jump, not knowing where you will land. Having the courage, although life is uncertain, will take you to places you never thought of exploring. Dear human, be brave, have faith. Life will reward you if you decide to never give up. I …

Mindfulness practises for setting & achieving goals

”How amusing isn’t it that we all pretend to be normal when we can be wildly different and fascinating?”     March intentions Where do I want to be one year from now? What can I do this month that will bring me one step closer to where I want to be? Setting monthly intentions is a great way in order to achieve the desired goals you have in life. Dreaming is always good, but taking action is even better. Mindfulness practises for setting & achieving goals   Writing. The more specific you are about your goals the better. Write them down, try to be as clear and precise as possible. I strongly believe that putting words, goals – the desired future – on paper will take you one step closer to achieving your dreams. I started writing things down last fall, and reading it now makes me realise some of the things already happened. Let go of the how. After writing down your goals I think it’s crucial that you stop obsessing over how everything will happen. …

Today’s list

”Life is beautiful. Be curious, be fearless. Be unapologetically you”   Today has been a day filled with self-care. Doing things I don’t normally do, like standing on a stage in front of + 25 humans. It has been a lovely day; the sun has been out, plenty of snow for being Stockholm and it’s getting so much lighter outside already. Spring, I’m waiting for you like a delighted child the day before Christmas Eve.   Today’s mood: Optimistic with a sense of calmness. Confidence (that’s a rare one! 😉 ) Today’s I should: Start to look for a new apartment. Where to begin? And I should write a list of things to do in Stockholm, and then go do them. Since it’s my last three months in this gorgeous city. Today’s thoughts: I’ve a lot on my mind, but I now know life works for me, not against me. I’m accepting the present moment, simply as it is. Being grateful for everything that has happened in my life, for it has made me become more self-aware. Best …

Embracing change

”If you ever find yourself in the wrong story, leave.” – Mo Willems   I strongly believe that life works in mysterious ways. Nevertheless I like to think that life always works for us, not against us. For example it’s very common to settle in different areas of life; to settle in a job you hate, you procrastinate your biggest dreams, or you might simply not feel at ”home” in your environment anymore. We usually settle in life because it’s safe. The unknown scares us and we’re too afraid of what might happen if we actually start following our dreams. Failure scares the hell out of us. Fear definitely blocks us from growing, blocks us from living the life we dream of. However, if we’re too ignorant, and too afraid to do anything, life will sooner or later step in and make us do something, making change inevitable. This is what happened me today. The past months I’ve been thinking about maybe moving back to my home country. It’s not that I don’t feel at …

10 Wellness Resolutions for 2018

”Mindset is everything”   Make yourself a delicious cup of tea. Grab your note book and favourite pen, and take some well needed ‘me-time’. What would you like to accomplish within a month? Within three months? One year? How would you like to feel? Put your visions, plans and goals on paper, and start taking action. Having a clear structure makes all of it a little easier to handle. Take that first step. And take it today.   If you’re making mistakes it means you’re trying. Allow yourself to make mistakes. It’s not the end of the world although it doesn’t turn out the way you expected it to. It means you’re trying, doing something new. Challenging yourself. Be curious and have the courage to say yes to things, even though you’ve no idea how they will turn out. Be curious. -> Every day is a fresh start.  If you made a mistake, know that tomorrow is a new day, a new day to start fresh. Tomorrow is a blank page, and you’re the writer …

101 Lifetime Goals

”Goals have a finish line. Dreams never have to end.”   Don’t confuse your dreams with goals. Dreams are imaginary, goals produce tangible results. Goals usually have a deadline, either in the near future or several years from now. Dreams are simply dreams, if they aren’t turned into goals. Achieving a goal requires action, and you won’t reach them over night. They usually require hard work, focus and determination. However, if you want them bad enough you won’t give up on them. You shouldn’t give up on your dreams either, but remember that dreaming doesn’t take you anywhere. It’s important to have both short-term and long-term goals since it brings joy, purpose and meaning into your life. Begin by writing your goals down; it’s an excellent way to make them more specific, more tangible. You can introduce weekly goals, monthly goals, one year goals, five year goals etcetera. Write a list with several goals you’d like to achieve. Since some goals will take longer to achieve than others it’s good to include short-term goals that are somewhat …

What inspires me to live a healthy lifestyle?

‘A healthy lifestyle not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood.’   What inspires me to live a healthy lifestyle? My first respons is life. The idea is to die young as late as possible. I want to be like my dad. He turned 78 this fall, and he’s in better shape than most 50-year-olds. ‘It’s the turmeric, Linda’  he said today. Turmeric might well be one of the reasons. It might also help that he’s active, usually eats healthy (meaning he enjoys his cinnamon buns from time to time) and he and mum have a rich social life. Enough of my dad. Besides life I’ve another reason why I always prioritize health. Positivity & Joy Being healthy helps me stay positive. Health is much more than what you’re eating and drinking. Health is also about what you’re thinking and saying. The older I get I’ve become to realise that a healthy mind is as important as a healthy body (if not even more!) The past year I’ve been prioritising mindfulness, yoga …

My 5 favorite books at the moment

‘A relaxed mind is a creative mind.’   This November (what’s left of it) and December you’ll most likely find me sitting on my sofa wrapped in three blankets with a book and a cup of tea. I’ve developed a newfound love for reading (*NERD*). And what better way to spend a cold winter’s evening than with a good book, while snow flakes dancing outside the window. All of these books are quite different to those I’ve read before, but I think it’s important to be open-minded and to explore new fields. At least then you’ll learn something new.   How Not To Die by Michael Greger This is a very comprehensive book about the foods that scientifically have been proven to prevent and reverse disease. Chapter by chapter Michael Greger explains each of the most common diseases such as heart disease, breast cancer, prostate cancer, high blood pressure and diabetes, and how we can prevent and reverse them by making the right dietary choices. Besides all the science-based information there are also concrete steps you …

Re-nourish your morning routines

‘Every action you choose to take will either pull you one step back or take you two steps closer to your dreams. However, you decide.’   I love mornings. The best hours during the day, without a doubt. Nevertheless I’ve set some new goals for myself. Challenges to incorporate into my morning routine. These are small goals that everyone can do, and that are somewhat easy to achieve. I want them to become part of my everyday life, and in order to do so I need to stay consistent. I’m a firm believer in setting small ordinary goals that are both realistic and easy to accomplish. I will try to follow these for the next 30 days. 1. Wake up at 6 am.  I really wish to to get into this early morning routine again. Preferably I would like to get up at 5.30 am, but for now on 6 am is just fine. I will strive to do this whenever it’s possible, meaning if I work until late in the evening I most likely will …
