99 things for health

”Appreciate where you are in your journey, even if it’s not where you want to be. Every season serves a purpose.”

Health is not about looking a certain way. Health is about feeling alive, having a positive attitude towards life and being confident in your own skin, as well as being both mentally & physically strong. Health is our greatest wealth.

  1. The importance of sleep. Aim for 7-8 hours sleep/night (and put away the phone one hour before bedtime).
  2. Stay active throughout the day. While it’s important to exercise regularly it’s as important to be active in your everyday life.
  3. Take the stairs. Always take the stairs. If you haven’t broken your foot or can’t use your legs, then of course take the elevator.
  4. Educate yourself. Strive to learn something new every day.
  5. Prioritise the greens, the veggies, the colourful stuff (and I did not mean candy when I wrote that).
  6. Smile to strangers. They might think you’re crazy, but hey – then smile even bigger.
  7. Drink plenty of water. Water is life. Water is fundamental to the human body. Water is everything. You need water.
  8. Eat chocolate. I prefer the vegan raw chocolate without refined sugar. Or my new favorite; Lindt 70 % cacao. One piece every day and I bet there would be peace on earth.
  9. Live in the moment. Just breathe.
  10. Don’t spend too much time on your phone. Phones are the best, they really are. But we do not need to spend our every waking moment on them. If there are people in front of you – talk to them. Read a book, clean your toilet, do whatever you want, but stop obsessing over your phone. It’s a phone!
  11. Meditate. Some days it’s easier than others, but sitting on the sofa for ten minutes without thinking about anything is kind of meditating isn’t it?!
