5 things I love about my home country

It’s Finland’s birthday today. 100 years of independence ❤ Congratulations my dear home country. I might not be there right now, celebrating with you. However, you have a sacred place in my heart, not only today, but everyday. Hooray, hooray, hooray!   5 things I love about Finland   The nature; Land of a thousand lakes. Beautiful, green forests and untouched landscapes – Finland is pure, fresh and clean. Breathing in the peacefulness, the crisp air from the Baltic Sea and the sweet taste of nature’s candy. The wildlife provide habitat to the world’s rarest seal, the Saimaa ringed seal, brown bears and thousand of other wild animals and birds. Finland’s nature calms down the soul ❤ Midnight Sun; It’s magical, and it’s filled with pure heart and light. These calm summer nights turning peacefully into dawning day; feeding us with energy. ”June is for waking up early. For staying up late. The Midnight Sun screaming for attention. June is for restless nights. June is for magic. Young and green. June is for miracles. For feeling alive. …

Dear December…

… You are like the finest piece of chocolate. That one piece we save for last. “Nature in its purest form, only exists. She observes our every move. Shocked by our consciousness, and how it simply does not notice all of the magic it has been given.”   December is for joy. Believing in miracles. Warm-hearted smiles and music filled with heartbeats and pure passion. December is for snowflakes dancing outside our window, making every hour irresistible. Gifts wrapped up in affection, kindness and hope. It is December, you can wish for anything. Any. Thing. What will you wish for? This December is all about awareness. It is about love. It is about winter wonderland, Santa Claus and all his reindeer. December is for each and every one of us. It is for our beautiful planet, Mother Nature, and the precious time we get to spend amongst her. Let us create magic, my dear friends. We owe it to her, and we owe it to ourselves. Dear December, I welcome you. I am love-struck …

Pre Beauty Sleep

‘Logic will take you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.’ – Albert Einstein Evening routine 1. Write   Sometimes I like to practise writing without having any structure, just letting the mind say what it has to say. I like the thought of not thinking too much about anything. But usually, in the evenings, my mind wish to be a complete mess of thoughts, and I allow it. Letting the mind completely unwind and relax is very important. You need that. Your brain needs that. I try to focus on not focusing too much. Something like that. Doesn’t always turn out the way I want it. I have become to realise that I sleep much better, more beautifully, if I write down my mind’s stories before bedtime. Like when you were a child and your parents read good-night-stories (hoping that you would fall a sleep before the news). However, now we are old enough to create our own stories. Although, we were actually around 4 when we started creating all kind of …

What I learned working in Customer Service

”A simple act of kindness costs very little, but the dividend is remarkably powerful.” Most of my adult years I’ve been working in customer service, either as a full-time job or as a part-time job while studying. You might not expect a slightly introverted person to be working in customer service, but besides being more of an introvert I’m very kind-hearted, and I don’t mind helping people. In other words; I thrive off being able to help others. Even though some of the jobs drove me a bit crazy at times I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for all the experiences I’ve gained. In my opinion working in customer service is a wonderful life lesson. It’s the most perfect way to learn more about human beings, and the way we behave in different situations. With that said, I’ve gathered some of the most important things I’ve learned after many years of serving people. Don’t take anything personally  What a person says to you says more about the person than it …

The power of now

‘You don’t have to move mountains in order to find the answer. Sometimes all you need is to embrace the stillness. Listen to that inner voice. It knows the way. It always does.’ _____________ Linda 5 things I noticed after meditation I’ve introduced a new habit. A new daily routine. Meditation. For 20 days straight I’ve been dedicating 5-15 minutes a day to meditation. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Already after 5 days I noticed how easily it had become a new habit of mine. A habit I most likely will stick to, like brushing my teeth. A sense of calmness. I might seem as a calm person on the outside, nevertheless, on the inside, my mind is constantly chatting. I easily get anxious, nervous and caught up in negative thoughts, but meditation has helped me a lot already, only after 20 days. Some days though, I can’t seem to concentrate at all, and the 5 minutes of meditation seem more like 5 hours. However, most of the time the time flies …

Dear September…

… you’ll be filled with power and heart. ‘She’s never alone with a soul full of heart. A sky full of stars, and a world full of hope. Never alone. Never afraid. With a soul full of passion.’ _____________ Linda With a gentle breeze you came, dear September. The wind so warm it makes our worries melt away. A mild and pleasant fall is a hundred times better than a cold and rainy summer. Dear September, embrace our hopes and dreams with your colourful and humble character. You’re exactly were you should be. Here amongst us. September is for faith. Love and compassion. It’s for knowing ones worth, and the ability to shine light in another person’s life. Taking care of the body, as well as the soul. Exploring new cities and friendships. It’s for constantly learning, constantly progressing. Small steps in the right direction. Appreciating every minute. It’s about the ability to inspire other human beings. Improving the quality of life. Challenging the body. Loving the body. Loving life. ‘Your greatness is not what …

Dear August…

… you’re beautiful from day one. ‘The now is wow.’ _________________________________________________ Linda August, I can’t believe you’re here already. Just as with June, I didn’t have the time to say goodbye to July. She was too cold, yet filled with laughter. Please, be warmer. Please be forever. The last month of summer and it’s still June in my heart. But one thing I know, you will be filled with love, dear August.  August is for chasing dreams. Catching stars. Peaceful, dark summer nights. August is for late evening swims, for enjoying the calmness of the sea. Home made bread and fresh blueberries. August is for creativity. An imagination deeper than ever. The dark, dark sky filled with stars. August is for believing in the power of nature. The power of humanity. August is for humid days and foggy nights. For being in the present moment, appreciating every second. August is for beautiful souls searching for inner peace. Inner light. August is for kindness. August is for curiosity and being brave. ‘The earth has music for those …

Dear July…

… you came too early, as per usual. ”i’m going to make everything around me ravishing – that is the purpose.” Linda I didn’t even have the time to say goodbye to June, since I thought you would come tomorrow. You know how much I cherish June. June is my favourite. Although that doesn’t mean I don’t like you. I do. It’s just that I prefer June. But anyways July! I think we will get along pretty well. Just promise me one thing. Be warmer than June. Ok? I know you want to.  July is for making progress. For believing in miracles. The warm days feeding us with energy. July is for ice cream. For family get-togethers and mosquito bites. July is for meeting childhood friends who will always be friends although you meet far too seldom. July is for sunscreen and cold sea. For late night runs. For thunderstorm and heavy rains. July is for festivity and reading books. July is for being me. ”Be careful who you make memories with. Those things can …

Dear June…

…you’re my favourite month. ”You’ll turn out ordinary if you’re not careful.” June is for waking up early. For staying up late. The Midnight Sun screaming for attention. June is for restless nights. June is for magic. Young and green. June is for miracles. For feeling alive. June is for picnics and counting stars. June is for beauty in its purest form. June is a wild child, a summer child. Growing into the adolescence of autumn. June is for believing everything is possible.  June is a month when I feel most alive. I blame the sunlight, the long days and short nights. I sleep a lot during winter, but could stay up whole June. The nature – pure, fresh and clean. June might as well be cold and rainy, but it’s still June. It’s still magic. My deepest desire is to spend every waking moment underneath the Sun. Close to the Sea. Close to the Heart. ”To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong”   This June is all about balance, practicing …
