Friday Feeling – Self Care

”Please ask yourself daily; What would I do if I weren’t so bloody afraid? And then just do it.”   Take the utmost best care of yourself I’m introducing a new theme here on the blog – Friday Feeling. A positive feeling or mental habit that we could all benefit from by incorporating it into our daily lives. And what better way to kick it off than with the habit of SELF CARE. It doesn’t mean you’re selfish when you do things for yourself, or when you make time for the things that make you feel good about yourself. Self care helps you build trust within yourself. You don’t need another person to come and save you; you make yourself happy by being true to yourself and by living by your heart. When you feel good about yourself you automatically become a happier person. And that happy person will have plenty of love, kindness and energy to give to other people. You’re not the only one who will benefit from taking care of yourself, the people around …

Killing time

”…and he knew she was much more than a sentence. she was the entire storyline. the unwritten ending.”   Looking for a way to kill time? Write. ”Write hard and clear about what hurts.” – Ernest Hemingway Or just write whatever comes to your mind. Do whatever floats your boat; spend your precious time wisely. Focus on what makes you happy. Focus on being brave. Recognize the little voice in your head that says you can’t do it. Get rid of self-doubt. Dear human, you can do anything. Have faith in yourself. Be confident. You might feel scared. Alone. That’s totally fine. You’re human. But remember, you’re never alone with a sky full of stars. Fall deeply, madly in love with yourself. With your life. And the world will fall deeply, madly in love with you. Some things you better not ever forget.  ❤     in every one of his dreams she exists and with the sun she disappears     she laughs and he knows the world needs more of her     …

Paint Your Words

”Meet me at midnight underneath the stars. I’ll bring my books and you’ll bring your heart.”     she loves too deep in a shallow world     the midnight sky turned her into a wildly creative masterpiece just as her smile turned him into a dangerously naive human     her smile may be sweet her gaze may be innocent her acts may be the kindest the world ever experienced she may be the face you can’t forget but that soul that soul is nothing but pure lust deep within lies a dark, deep intense desire how dare you neglect  a flaming fire     come closer. pay attention, and you’ll notice the tears in her eyes are actual stars.     some call it love others call it pain he calls it her     time stands still in moments your heart dies     from all of the chaos a flower started to blossom     dreaming of her is his great escape     with her he is his most powerful …

Motivational Mantras

She possesses a peaceful confidence that screams power. She is humble, but fierce. She is stable, with a rebellious soul. She is loving, but far from naive. She chooses her struggles wisely, cause she always knew what she wanted. Dangerously intelligent she’s prepared to fight. And when that time comes;fight she does.   I haven’t yet written down any actual goals for 2018. At least not any clear and precise ones. But what I’ve done is that I’ve written down how I want to feel 2018. I think that is as important as setting goals; If you know how you want to feel when you travel through life the things you want, need and long for the most will come to you more effortlessly. Why do you want to achieve certain things? Why are they important to you? Is it just because you want to impress others, or do you want to impress yourself, improve yourself? I’ve written down 9 life mantras that I will strive to live by this year. I’ve already been …

Goodbye 2017

”The best view comes after the hardest climb.”   Every day you should learn something new. Every year you should grow. I’ve never considered New Years Eve like a time to start over, however, this year I see it as the most perfect day to leave everything that do not serve me behind, and believe that everything do happen for a reason. It’s not what happens to us that defines us, it’s our response to what happens. And response is something we can choose. Everything I’ve been through has made me who I am 2017 has been one of the toughest years ever, nevertheless, I feel I’ve grown tremendously. 2017 was the year I became more aware. I’ve learned to become more mindful, more present. And most importantly, I understand that I can always trust my intuition. I can trust myself, and all I’m capable of. I know I’m unique – we all are. I know I was meant to inspire other humans, I might not know exactly how, but I know that everything will eventually fall …

Dear 2018

… You are like a newborn relationship. Exciting and deeply treasured. ”Life is uncertain. Life is beautiful. Accept where you are, and be proud. But most of all be kind. Always be kind to yourself, fellow humans, the planet and the animals. You have one body. We have one Earth. Show respect, kindness and courage. Life may be uncertain, but we all got a chance of making something beautiful out of it. Be bold, take the chance.” Dear 2018, I heart you. I heart you like I heart the beauty of nature. The sound of the ocean, the whispers in the wind, the calmness of the forest. The sky so endless it makes us believe everything is possible. I believe the sun will set every night, I believe the sun will rise every morning. How can there not be magic with a nature so magical? Welcome! I look forward to getting to know you. Together we can achieve anything, darling friend. Darling lover, life begins now.   never rush something you want to last forever. …

101 Lifetime Goals

”Goals have a finish line. Dreams never have to end.”   Don’t confuse your dreams with goals. Dreams are imaginary, goals produce tangible results. Goals usually have a deadline, either in the near future or several years from now. Dreams are simply dreams, if they aren’t turned into goals. Achieving a goal requires action, and you won’t reach them over night. They usually require hard work, focus and determination. However, if you want them bad enough you won’t give up on them. You shouldn’t give up on your dreams either, but remember that dreaming doesn’t take you anywhere. It’s important to have both short-term and long-term goals since it brings joy, purpose and meaning into your life. Begin by writing your goals down; it’s an excellent way to make them more specific, more tangible. You can introduce weekly goals, monthly goals, one year goals, five year goals etcetera. Write a list with several goals you’d like to achieve. Since some goals will take longer to achieve than others it’s good to include short-term goals that are somewhat …

Vegan Ginger Bread Sugar Cookies

”Christmas (noun) = The only time of the year one can sit in front of a dead tree and eat candy out of socks.”   It was December – the month of early sunsets, soft pillows, big sweaters, warm tea and long talks beside the fire. Snow flakes were soundlessly falling down from heaven, filling hearts with desire. Magic. No one could hear it, but everyone could feel it. They believed it. Life didn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. They knew life was for deep kisses, late night conversations, strange adventures, midnight walks, spreading kindness and enjoying the little things like freshly baked cookies. Lights were brighter, snow was whiter, sweaters were bigger, books were thicker, kissing was nicer, hearts were closer, people were softer. It was December – the month when the nights were crisp, and all they were wishing for was peace.    (Update: Oups, I noticed I forgot to write sugar in the recipe. I used approx. 1.5 dl coconut sugar.) ❤ Linda

How To Have A Mindful Christmas

”Don’t live to please others. Above all please yourself, and the world will be pleased by your genuineness.”   With less than one week until Christmas I decided to continue with the Christmas theme. Christmas is the most magical time of the year. Nevertheless, it’s easily a busy and stressful time. This year, when you’re buried in to-do’s try to remember to be more present, more mindful. A study by Oxford University shows that ‘being mindful not only reduces stress but also gently builds an inner strength so that future stressors have less impact on our happiness and physical well-being.’ So more sitting in front of the Christmas tree sipping on hot chocolate, and less worrying about all the things that needs to be done. Nothing needs to be done, except from spending time with loved ones. How to have a mindful Christmas   First thing in the morning; make yourself a nice cup of coffee and sit in stillness for 15 minutes with the Christmas lights on, preferably in front of the Christmas tree. A …

You place the big carrot on Mr. Snowman’s face and wonder if; You will be walking in the air, floating in the moonlit sky while the people far below are sleeping as you fly. And in that moment you start to see the beauty within the darkness, because without it you wouldn’t be able to reach for the stars.   Christmas Holiday Bucket List; Drink hot chocolate Go on a Christmas tree hunt Bake gingerbread cookies Decorate the Christmas tree Snuggle on the coach Do a random act of kindness Drink glue wine Write a letter to Santa Make epic plans for 2018 Play in the snow Read books Wake up early and enjoy the coffee in silence in front of the Christmas tree Watch Christmas …
