Dear June…

… my soul talks about nothing but you. ”If it’s out of your hands, it deserves freedom from your mind too.” June dear, nature must be head over heels for you, the way she blossoms when you arrive. I look at you, and wonder, out of all the months in the world, I’m happy to have found one so perfect for me.  June is for hot, loving summer nights. Magical, never-ending evenings. The sun wide awake, but please, don’t go back to sleep, you’re one to keep. June is for finding the happy within. Smelling roses and counting stars. Eating strawberries and breathing in vitamin sea. June is for dancing with the waves, playing with nature – kissing the soft, morning rain. You’re impeccable, just the way you are.  This June is all about not forcing things. What flows, flows. What crashes, crashes. There’s only space for the things that are meant for us. Beautiful words, beautiful beings. Life is happening now, while appreciating where we are in our journeys, even if it’s not where we want to be. …

Find stillness within the chaos

”In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.” – Deepak Chopra In this moment you can find suffering or meaning, fear or curiosity. You can choose to see the world through the eyes of hate, or you can let love be the guiding force. Clarity might not always be found through the intellect, but experienced in stillness. Quiet down, and the more you’re able to hear. Some might fear the stillness, simply because they’re not used to it. What to do with it? Complete silence, except the sound of the heartbeat. Rising. Thoughts popping up. Do something, don’t just sit there. Wasting your time. Becoming aware of the breath. In. Out. In. Out. Feeling calmer. Lighter. Sensing the energy in the hands. Alive. I’m alive. The present moment – the only moment where there is freedom from the past, from the conditioned mind. You’re simply here, realising there is nowhere else to be. But here. ”To a mind that is still, a whole universe surrenders.” Lao Tzu To become aware is …

Dear March…

… give me a winter to wake up, and deserve you. ”I just want to breathe in the ocean for a little while, forever.” Can you hear spring whisper softly in the garden? Her warm caress melting frozen hearts. Time to be bold, take the leap and know, on cloudy days the sun is still there, underneath. Darling, I believe we’ll become dearest of friends. I wish to see you laugh. I hope you make me laugh. Oh how you melt my heart – come, dance with me. Darling, spin with me. And before I fall asleep, remember, gently kiss me on my cheek, and know, you’ll always be the one I seek. March is for the sun so boldly shining. Coming alive. Quietly crying for the moon, and the stars. Time standing still, frozen, for us. Snow will be falling, flowers start blooming. A precious mix when nature can’t decide. 4 am, and my mind intense, the breath calm. Smelling hope, kissing the soft morning rain, moving with the waves. They say she loves too …

Intention setting

”Live truthfully” What does it mean to set an intention for the day? Setting an intention not only helps you stay motivated and aligned with your true self, but will also make you more focused and commited to your goals. Furthermore, it sets a tone for the day ahead, and helps you get back on track in case you find yourself struggling to proceed with a task or take action in a certain matter. You can set a specific intention that will change with each day, as well as have one or several more general intentions that follow you throughout the days, weeks and months. One of my more general intentions is to live truthfully. And what do I mean with that? To live truthfully. In essence, I try to stay away from things, actions, behaviours, people, that do not align with who I am. Give an example, please? I try to speak as authentically as possible, towards others as well as towards myself. With this being said, I’m far from perfect, and I’m not …

Dear Friday…

… love me in such a way that makes me feel, free. ”We can never run out of love; it’s in the air we’re breathing.” Each and every one of us walking on this planet are worthy of a beautiful life. A life filled with joy, excitement, happiness and love. A life filled with abundance. Having said that, each and every one of us are responsible for our own happiness, to some extent.  However, for some of us it will definitely be a lot more challenging; it’s like the universe demands more from some people than others. Yet, I believe the universe won’t give you anything which you can’t handle. If you’re constantly going through difficult situations; please, take a step back, and pause for a while. What is this trying to teach me? How will this make me grow? In the end, it’s all about our mindset, and how we choose to look at the things happening for us. And yet I agree, at times it can be very difficult to try to find the …

Surrender

”In this moment I am exactly who, and where, I need to be.” There is no way we humans can control what is happening around us. We may think that we have control, or we may have thought that we had control (and now; all is lost). However, thinking that we have control is nothing but an illusion. Control can be seen as something that our minds have made up, in order to create a sense of security and safety. Earlier this year I listened to a Ted Talk podcast with Elisabeth Gilbert. She said something that I’ve been thinking about lately, something I remind myself of whenever I start to feel anxious and worried. Hopefully it can help you in this moment, in case you feel out of control or fearful. Whenever you tell yourself ”I’m losing control” or ”I have no control over the situation I’m in”  – Know that the sense that you had control was a myth to begin with… Recognise that you never had control, all you had was anxiety, and that’s what you’re …

Poetry is art

”Love – not simply a noun, but a verb craving to be felt.” There’s a time for being ahead. A time for being at peace. There’s a time for being in motion. A time for being at rest. There’s a time for being vigorous. A time for being exhausted. To everything there’s a season. There’s a time for every purpose under the sun.  The words above got stuck with me as I listened to them the other day. No storm can last forever. Not even nature can create a storm that lasts forever. Hidden within every struggle is victory. Within every failure lies an opportunity. Hidden within yourself is everything you’ll ever need; power, love, compassion, joy, success and abundance. Every battle, and every difficulty molds you into a stronger human. As long as you know that you’re on the right path you’ll eventually end up where you want to go. There is and there was nothing like you, and there shall be nothing like you. Therefore, never seek to compare yourself with others. Nonetheless, let …

The tranquility of being

”Be still and observe – the earth is dancing.” I am ”I just want to sit in front of the ocean for a little while” kind of person. Whenever I need to find stillness I go to the ocean. The sense of calmness, as well as the sound of crashing waves always bring peace to my soul. I’ve always lived close to the sea; I grew up on the coast, in a small town in Finland, and I’ve always seen myself living close to the water, also in the future. Wherever I move there needs to be water. Water is life. ”A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear.” I’ve noticed that the quieter I become, the more alive I feel. My mind is one of those who like to constantly chitchat about this and that, and usually about weird, irrelevant topics. To be able to still the mind, and listen to what lies underneath is, however, my main purpose while seeking stillness. When the mind is turbulent it’s difficult to hear or …

Dear April…

… take my hand, inhale my breath. We won’t die, as long as we don’t fall in love. ”April dear, I breathe you in like air.”   Time standing still. The warm, golden light, burning through our windows, caressing our cheeks, awakening our hearts. Dreaming of doing everything in life, and nothing on rainy Sundays. Watching captivating sunsets, and counting countless numbers of stars. Happily having you, blooming in my arms. Speak with no words, undress me with your eyes. Whatever you do, I swear, you got my feelings playing butterflies.  April is for getting lost in translation. Being curious and bold. Breathing in lust, breathing out fear. Breathe me in like air. It’s about a new earth, hope, and letting go. Soft raindrops against the window, purifying dark winter souls. Touch me with your words, with your eyes. As long as you touch me, I know we’ll be just fine. April is for being affectionate, playful and passionate. Confident, happy and alive. Stop looking for it on the outside, when it’s already resting within, …

How to cope during times of self-isolation

”You are never alone;we have each other.” During tough times it’s more important than ever that we spend time doing things that make us feel a little more peaceful. Whether it’s breathing a little deeper, spending extra time with loved ones, cooking healthy meals, reading books or having long conversations over the phone. It’s okay to be afraid, but fear or panic is never the answer. It will never be the answer. Now is not the time to be selfish; you may be strong, but the man you meet on the street may not. Be compassionate. It’s when the safety around us has been taken away from us, that it’s time for us to rely on the safety within us.  Below you’ll find three ways/mindsets to embrace during these difficult times affecting all of us. Take care, and know that you can always reach out via an email or a comment. I’m happy to connect ❤ How to cope during times of self-isolation   1. The importance of routine During trauma or uncertainty it’s highly …
