Dear future job,   I can choose to continue to scroll through job ads without finding any position that fits my profile. OR I can choose to throw myself out there, head first, making myself visible, so that the one and only, spot-on job (you) finally can find me. Working together, successfully ever after. If you would examine my brain you would most probably think I am a chaotic mess. However, that is far from the truth; I am organized, altruistic, driven and creative (thanks to my disorganized brain). Power of Thoughts

”Dear sunrise, you bring me peace of mind.” Thoughts are a huge part of who we are. The human mind is a beautiful, yet complicated and sophisticated machine, and it’s estimated that an average person has between 40.000 to 60.000 thoughts per day (National Science Foundation). What is more, 80 % of these thoughts are negative, and 95 % are repetitive.  Nevertheless, one important aspect to bear in mind is; you’re not your thoughts, you’re simply having thoughts. Most of the thoughts that are running through the mind we aren’t even totally conscious of. These so called subliminal messages go un-noticed since they aren’t perceived by the conscious mind. However, whether we notice these thoughts or not they will affect us to some extent. ”No one is an overnight success story. Put in the work.”   Sometimes what we want doesn’t happen when or how we want it to. Persistence is key, since good things usually take time. That gut feeling

Breathe

”Breathe in life. Breathe out fear. Breathe in every moment. Breathe out every pain.”   My life is pretty hectic at the moment; I have to move by the end of next month, I’m studying for an entrance exam, I decided to participate in a writing competition, I work at a cruise ship, sailing between Finland and Sweden, AND I’m food blogging as well as writing bits and pieces for this blog (my precious baby). When life is busy it’s even more important to chill out a bit – to learn to relax, and find a quiet and peaceful moment every day. Yes, I would like to have more time to study for the entrance exam, but here on the ship it’s pretty darn difficult to find that extra time. However, I know everything will be just fine. And already next week I will go and look at an apartment; the very first one I applied for. Oh well, it’s just a look. Anyhow, it’s completely new so it would be awesome. One can at least …

There were people who got caught up in old memories while listening to music. It was the smell, that haunted him. He dragged himself out of bed to open the balcony door. His feet touched the raw, biting surface. He was paralyzed, and in some miraculous way his broken heart still found a way to beat. The thunderstorm had kept him up all night.
