Dear Friday…

… love me in such a way that makes me feel, free. ”We can never run out of love; it’s in the air we’re breathing.” Each and every one of us walking on this planet are worthy of a beautiful life. A life filled with joy, excitement, happiness and love. A life filled with abundance. Having said that, each and every one of us are responsible for our own happiness, to some extent.  However, for some of us it will definitely be a lot more challenging; it’s like the universe demands more from some people than others. Yet, I believe the universe won’t give you anything which you can’t handle. If you’re constantly going through difficult situations; please, take a step back, and pause for a while. What is this trying to teach me? How will this make me grow? In the end, it’s all about our mindset, and how we choose to look at the things happening for us. And yet I agree, at times it can be very difficult to try to find the …

Surrender

”In this moment I am exactly who, and where, I need to be.” There is no way we humans can control what is happening around us. We may think that we have control, or we may have thought that we had control (and now; all is lost). However, thinking that we have control is nothing but an illusion. Control can be seen as something that our minds have made up, in order to create a sense of security and safety. Earlier this year I listened to a Ted Talk podcast with Elisabeth Gilbert. She said something that I’ve been thinking about lately, something I remind myself of whenever I start to feel anxious and worried. Hopefully it can help you in this moment, in case you feel out of control or fearful. Whenever you tell yourself ”I’m losing control” or ”I have no control over the situation I’m in”  – Know that the sense that you had control was a myth to begin with… Recognise that you never had control, all you had was anxiety, and that’s what you’re …

Embrace humility

”The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing.” – Socrates Part of being humble means realizing that you don’t have all the answers. Humble people are curious and eager to learn more, in order to become better versions of themselves. Furthermore, they’re self-reliant and competent in themselves, and therefore seek to self-actualize by helping others. I read somewhere that being humble is not to think less of oneself, but to think of oneself less. Consequently, humility is not about being too passive and insecure, rather it’s about being confident in one’s own skin, knowing we’re all different, yet at the same time, somehow quite the same. ”Be humble enough to know that you’re not better than anyone else, but wise enough to know you’re different.” Below you’ll find some of the most common traits that might help you become a little more humble ❤ Be curious. Humble people usually have an inquiring mind, meaning they know there’s always something to learn, there’s always new insight and knowledge to gain. Learning is an ongoing …

Dear November…

… there’s no June without you. ”The silent hour of night, and my heart suddenly arise, caressing my awaken sight, while awaiting life, with blissful eyes.” Your days short, nights endless. Swimming in your darkness, facing our deepest fears. There’s no way escaping the twilight, but to invite it to dance. Pour your insecurities on us, cover our lives in darkness, but, you’ll never, ever destroy us. This November is all about harnessing the talents within. Cultivating curiosity, courage, confidence and creativity. Life is filled with opportunities. Trust. It’s about accepting and releasing emotions, negative thoughts. Reaching out to humans through loving kindness and warmhearted action. Striving for growth and progression. Connection and compassion. Speaking with integrity. Being impeccable with the words. There’s always a reason to choose happy. Keep it fresh and wild, darling soul child. In the beginning, even when your goals seem out of reach you’ll have to trust yourself. Trust that you have what it takes to get to where you want to be. In the end it’s only you who decide who you …

How to be more gentle with yourself

”Relax. My darling, unwind. Be patient and stay alert. You’re coming home. To yourself.” No one in this world is pure and perfect, not even Nature. If you avoid people for their shortcomings, you will most certainly be alone in this world. And if you’re constantly doubting yourself, and never take the time to actually embrace your accomplishments, you’re most certainly chasing a perfection that doesn’t even exist. Therefore, try to judge less, and love more. Surround yourself with people who understand. People who lift you up. We rise by lifting others. With this being said, below you’ll find some tips & tricks on how to recharge your soul. Your entire being. How to feel all sparkly, and good about yourself again, when you feel unmotivated and ready to crawl back to bed. Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, even you. ”Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance.” I appreciate the calmness. I appreciate my books. I love spending time alone, getting to know myself on a deeper level. I love to soak …

Small daily habits to improve your life

”Ask yourself; Does this support my innermost being?” While being perfect is rather boring, we should instead strive to be a bit more willing to be the best version of ourselves. A version that will change from day to day, from hour to hour even. Some days we learn, some days we win. However, we don’t stop when the mountain gets too high or the sea too rough. Rather, we adjust. We may scream a little (or a lot), we may laugh at our foolishness. But we continue, we adapt. And that’s how we evolve. ”Fragile you are, little seed. Planted in the depths of thick, dark, nourishing soil. Resilient you are, blooming flower. Early spring.” I strongly believe it’s the small daily habits that encompass the greatest value on our overall wellbeing. Like waking up early dawn, knowing it’s time to make yourself a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The smell and sound of coffee beans grinding. The taste of creamy oat milk, nicely poured on top of a hot, steamy cup of goodness. …

How to give yourself a mental makeover

”Be pure, bright, white, light” You can take your life in a new direction at any time. Every now and then it’s good to change things up, to keep things (thoughts) fresh, in order to stay motivated and inspired. It’s easy to become under-stimulated if you keep on doing the same things over and over again. In a sense it’s like driving on autopilot, where you just keep on moving forward, and still, you haven’t got the slightest idea what you’re doing, cause you’re not the one in control. Then it’s about time. Time to open up for fresh, new perspectives to enter.  If you’re looking for a mini life-makeover, then, first things first, you need to start from within. In other words, start with your mental state, since most often it’s the root to all problems. If you don’t change what’s going on inside your mind – with your thoughts, and the way you think about certain things – then it’s going to be very hard to find a new sense of happiness, contentment and …

Poetry is art

”Love – not simply a noun, but a verb craving to be felt.” There’s a time for being ahead. A time for being at peace. There’s a time for being in motion. A time for being at rest. There’s a time for being vigorous. A time for being exhausted. To everything there’s a season. There’s a time for every purpose under the sun.  The words above got stuck with me as I listened to them the other day. No storm can last forever. Not even nature can create a storm that lasts forever. Hidden within every struggle is victory. Within every failure lies an opportunity. Hidden within yourself is everything you’ll ever need; power, love, compassion, joy, success and abundance. Every battle, and every difficulty molds you into a stronger human. As long as you know that you’re on the right path you’ll eventually end up where you want to go. There is and there was nothing like you, and there shall be nothing like you. Therefore, never seek to compare yourself with others. Nonetheless, let …

The tranquility of being

”Be still and observe – the earth is dancing.” I am ”I just want to sit in front of the ocean for a little while” kind of person. Whenever I need to find stillness I go to the ocean. The sense of calmness, as well as the sound of crashing waves always bring peace to my soul. I’ve always lived close to the sea; I grew up on the coast, in a small town in Finland, and I’ve always seen myself living close to the water, also in the future. Wherever I move there needs to be water. Water is life. ”A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear.” I’ve noticed that the quieter I become, the more alive I feel. My mind is one of those who like to constantly chitchat about this and that, and usually about weird, irrelevant topics. To be able to still the mind, and listen to what lies underneath is, however, my main purpose while seeking stillness. When the mind is turbulent it’s difficult to hear or …

n.a.s.a

”Listen to the universe while it sings to you. Don’t wait until it screams, cause it will.”   I believe your cold breeze sings to me, as your gloomy night speaks to me. My quiet thoughts secretly in love with your dark, fierce character, however, be gentle, be kind, summer still on my mind. While I’m reading you slowly I’ve become aware, beneath that brisk, unpredictable wind, lies a warm, delicate soul, teaching us all how to grow. Quiet the mind, dance with every breath. Now is the time to set all worries aside, rise above limiting beliefs and self-destructive behavior. Awaken to a new confidence, forceful as the strongest brittlest wind. Found within. It takes courage to be who you are. Always found within.   … and then fear asked courage – please teach me. Teach me everything you know, like the way you always succeed making life strangely appealing.     Found in the details The way the ray of sunlight touches your dark brown iris. The way your voice soothes my breath. …
