How to develop an empowered mindset

”Be humble enough to know that you’re far from perfect, and confident enough to know you can do almost anything you set your mind to.” Having a strong mindset is crucial in order to navigate through life with confidence, clarity and a deep sense of trust within oneself. However, what characterises a strong, empowered mindset, and what can you do to develop one? Every step forward, and every action, however small, is one step closer to where you’d like to be. Take the blindfold off, stay curious and walk with an open heart. It’s very common that we choose to stay in our little comfort zone, simply because it gives us a sense of security. People may become comfortable with having a job they hate, being stuck in a dysfunctional relationship, having feelings of sadness and underestimating oneself. In order to change something in your life you’ve to change yourself – you’ve to change your way of thinking. And lastly, you’ve to change where you put your attention. Where attention goes energy flows Where does …

Embrace uncertainty

”In silence you’ll find yourself.” There are times when we are fully engaged in the things happening in the outside world that we simply forget to connect with the vast world within. Rest assured; the more you listen to and trust your own unique voice things will start flowing more effortlessly, regardless of how chaotic life may seem. Whenever I find myself completely caught up in my thoughts, and worrying about what’s to come I read these following lines from Eckhart Tolle’s book ”A New Earth”, and somehow his words always succed in bringing me peace of mind. ”Some changes may look negative on the surface but you will soon realize that space is being created in your life for something new to emerge. There may be a period of insecurity and uncertainty. What should I do? As the ego is no longer running your life, the psychological need for external security, which is illusory anyway, lessens. You are able to live with uncertainty, even enjoy it. When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities …

Growth is uncomfortable

”Energy flows where your attention goes.” Two weeks ago I decided that I was going to write a blog post every day until Christmas. A decision based on me feeling a bit unmotivated, and I thought that what better way than to pressure myself to take som damn action. And I must say that there’s truth in the statement action breeds motivation. With that being said. Let’s talk about 2020. What’s the best thing that has happened for you this year? Although this year has been filled with adversity, and we all have had our struggles, I still would like you to reflect on something good that has happened for you. Take some time, and reflect on some things that have made you stronger, more resilient. And of course you don’t have to share it with me. But if you want, then you’re more than welcome ❤ ”You give life to what you focus on.” Personally, I was forced out of my comfort zone (like many others out there). And that can actually be a …

The Law of Life

”I have the power to create my reality.” What you send out into the universe – through your thoughts, feelings, words, actions – you attract into your life. Cultivating abundant and positive thinking, visualization, and intention-setting, are great ways in order to start creating the life you want. It’s about shifting your focus, shifting your perspectives. It’s about being able to turn a negative day into a great day, simply because you choose to. Simply because you can. Nevertheless, it’s not enough to simply think, write or speak about the things you want in life, however, it’s a vital start. You have to believe, in order to receive. If you don’t believe in yourself and all that you’re capable of, nothing much will grow out of it. What is more, you’ll have to begin to take inspired action. It’s not enough to simply sit on the coach, listening to inspirational podcasts or visualizing dreams and goals coming through – we actually need to take that first step as well, not knowing where it will take us. …

8 ways to get into a creative flow

”The one who falls and gets back up is much stronger than the one who never fell.” It’s easy to loose sight of creativity when things don’t happen as quickly as hoped for. You don’t see any results, something negative happened, or maybe you wake up one morning feeling unmotivated for no particular reason. In these situations it’s even more important that you hold on to hope, and try to see the moment for what it is – a moment to reflect, and recharge. Getting back into your groove again. One crucial thing to bear in mind when going through times feeling uninspired and unmotivated, is to accept your feelings. Don’t take them too seriously, since they are temporarily, and you don’t need to invite them in for tea – keep the door open. Don’t push yourself to feel a certain way, to be something you’re not. The lack of motivation is only a phase, and sometimes the only thing you can do is to breathe a little deeper, and take a step back. Even …

How to change your mindset

”Respond to every call that excites your spirit.” – Rumi   A fresh start isn’t a new place, it’s a new mindset. Research shows that our thoughts are 95% repetitive and 85% negative. In other words; we’re constantly repeating negative thoughts. Isn’t it convenient to start living life on autopilot, especially when life gets busy, and there are distractions of all kinds drawing our attention? In most cases we’re not even aware of the thoughts we’re having, and how they might affect us.  To begin with; there might be many different reasons why we humans feel the need to change, however, I read somewhere that there are two main reasons that usually stand out; either our minds have been opened to something new, whether it’s a new way of thinking through facing new experiences, or meeting someone with a completely different mindset from our own. The second reason is when facing a traumatic event or experience; maybe we got our hearts broken, lost a dear friend or family member, or fell ill to a disease …

Surrendering into the arms of the wild

”The courage of letting go. Surrendering into the arms of the wild.” As Eckhart Tolle so neatly puts it: ”Sometimes surrender means giving up from trying to understand, and becoming comfortable with not knowing.” Life is about finding the balance between what you can control, and what you cannot. Sometimes surrendering is the breakthrough you need. Let me tell you about a dream I had a couple of nights ago.  ♦I had this cute white labrador puppy, but wasn’t he a pain in the butt. It was a complete struggle every time I had to take him out for a walk. It was like he did anything to get out from that leash; he didn’t appreciate to be told what to do, and neither did he wish to be controlled. Every walk was a fight to win. And eventually the leash broke. The thing with which I tried to control my puppy ultimately fell apart.♦ I’m usually not one of those that decipher my dreams, but I felt this one had something to teach me. …

Pure intentions

”Choose authenticity and your life will begin to change.” Like a loyal friend you return, each and every year, dear autumn, dear fall. However, every time you bring something new, something unique. Oaks dressed in crimson, leaves in brightest red. And I’ve learned to trust that there’s nothing more to dread, about things once said.  You stir me, make me question every thought, every action. The way you always manage to keep it fresh and wild, darling fall child. You steady me, make me feel at peace, at home. Yet, eventually you’ll leave, making room for the cold, whilst the whitest snow turning into gold. Blissful laughters in the wind; You’re still alive. Act like it. Everything falling into place, even though everything seems to be falling to pieces, leaves melting to the ground, capitulating in the arms of winter. We endure the fire, the wind and the waves. Travelling within seasons, eventually finding our way. With every dawn we have the opportunity to change our todays, as well as our tomorrows. We start by …

Embrace your being

”Be aware;make a move, take a stand, take a chance. Embrace and work with what is.”   Every moment, peacefully passing by. What happens now, in this moment, guides us into the next. Pay attention to your surroundings, as well as your inner state, as it nourishes greater awareness, clarity and acceptance of what is. Don’t miss out on life, don’t miss what is of greatest value. Growth and transformation happen the moment you realize the richness and the depth of your potentialities. As every moment peacefully evolves, so are you.  How to become more mindful? How to become more acceptant of what is? Acceptant of one’s Self? There are several methods helping us to cultivate a more intimate relationship with the present moment, ways for us to achieve serenity, and peace of mind. Below you’ll find some of my favourite ways of tapping into the present, into my being. Tranquility speaks ”Listen to the whispers of your soul.” 4.30 am. I forgot how peaceful it is to wake up at dawn. Complete darkness surrounding …

End of the year intentions

”Everything you need, seek and long for is already within.” I feel it’s a beginning of a new cycle of life. Not only because August is knocking on our doors, but I can feel fresh faced optimism floating in the air. Do you sense it as well? I’m a firm believer in writing my intentions, goals and dreams down, preferably on a piece of paper. I guess I am more of a dreamer/planner than a doer. However, my intentions for 2019 was all about taking action and believing in myself and my abilities. Now, looking back on these past 7 months, I sense a stronger confidence has slowly started to grow within me, as well as a strong feeling of being connected to something greater than my physical being. When it comes to intentions, you can choose to write daily, weekly, monthly and/or yearly intentions. I prefer to write my intentions in the beginning of every month, as well as set one daily intention that helps guiding me throughout the day. Setting intentions not only …
