From Frustration to Fulfilment: A Guide to Trusting the Process

”Learning to Trust the Process: Embracing Patience and Finding Joy in the Journey.” Why Is Patience So Hard? Why is it that most humans seem to believe that life is more about the end goal, than actually enjoying the ride, and the process towards achieving that end goal? That annoying frustration that occurs while waiting for results. Like the act of waiting in itself would produce tangible results – No, I’m afraid not. There needs to be a dance between taking inspired action and trusting the process. 9 months ago I decided that I wanted to start learning ballet, and what can I say; it has been a slow progress. Ballet is one of the most difficult skills to master, and here I am thinking that I should master it within a few months! A skill that requires a lifetime to master! However, then I come back to my senses, and tell myself that ”Linda you’re doing a great job just by showing up to class, and for learning something new as an adult, and …

Write your future

You are the creator of your reality.” Scripting, or journaling, is a powerful tool to create the life you want. It’s a way of visualizing your future and how you wish it to unfold; in other words you get to design your entire life. How do you wish to live? ”We chase likes instead of dreams. We surf the web instead of the world. We build profiles instead of connections. We let computers fill our hearts, and then we wonder why we feel so empty.” – Mark Groves Whether you choose to use scripting every day, once a week, once a month or once a year, remember it can be a powerful tool to create your desired outcome. ”The most effective way to do it, is to do it.” – Amelia Earhart 1. Imagination Don’t be afraid to dream big. Use your imagination freely. Allow Walt Disney’s famous quote to sink in –”If you can dream it, you can do it. As children we dream so effortlessly, without judging ourselves or thinking we can’t do it. …

Journaling

”Fragile you are, little seed. Planted in the depths of thick, dark, nourishing soil. Resilient you are, blooming flower. Early spring.” While being perfect is rather boring, we should instead strive to be a bit more willing to be the best version of ourselves. A version that will change from day to day, from hour to hour even. Some days we learn, some days we win. However, we don’t stop when the mountain gets too high or the sea too rough. Rather, we adjust. We may scream a little (or a lot), we may laugh at our foolishness. But we continue, we adapt. And that’s how we evolve. In my last post ”10 habits to change your life” I wrote about small habits that will make your days more enjoyable, productive and mindful. However, I realised I forgot to mention one of my favorites – journaling. Needless to say, there’s an endless list of habits which to incorporate in order to produce a bit more substance to your day. Ask yourself; What can I do to …
