Why the Early Hours Hold so Much Potential

”Elevate your mornings – elevate your life.”

Imagine starting your day with energy, clarity, and purpose—each morning a new opportunity to set the tone for a successful day. I truly believe mornings are magical, and hold the key to unlocking a more meaningful life, yet many of us hit the snooze button, missing out on the transformative potential that is hidden within the early hours. However, elevating your mornings isn’t just about waking up earlier; it’s about consciously designing a routine that aligns with your goals and well-being. By doing so, you can start to elevate your entire life.

The Science Behind Mornings

Why then do mornings matter so much? Research shows that our willpower and decision-making abilities are strongest in the morning. This is when our minds are fresh and anew, and we have the most control over how we spend our time. When you create a morning routine that prioritizes your well-being and personal growth, you’re more likely to make choices that benefit you throughout the day.

Designing Your Elevated Morning Routine

Creating an elevated morning routine doesn’t mean adopting a one-size-fits-all approach. It’s about crafting and shaping a routine that resonates with your needs and your unique goals. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you elevate your mornings:

1. Start with the Night Before

A successful morning begins the night before. Prioritise sleep by winding down with a calming evening routine. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep to ensure you wake up refreshed. This can include activities like reading, journaling, stretching, or a digital detox to help you relax.

2. Wake Up with Intention

Instead of rushing out of bed, take a moment to set an intention for the day. This can be as simple as taking a few deep breaths, expressing gratitude, or visualising your day ahead. This moment of mindful attention sets a positive tone and reminds you of your purpose.

3. Move Your Body

Physical activity is a powerful way to wake up both your body and mind. Whether it’s a 30 minutes walk, yoga, or a full workout, movement in the morning boosts endorphins, enhances mood, and increases energy levels. Even just 10-15 minutes can make a big difference.

4. Nourish Your Mind and Body

Fuel your body with a nutritious breakfast to keep you energized and focused. Simultaneously, nourish your mind with something positive—read a few pages of a book, listen to an inspiring podcast, or practice meditation. Feeding both your body and mind creates a strong foundation for the day.

5. Plan and Prioritise

Take a few minutes to review your goals and to-do list for the day. Identify your top three priorities, and plan how you’ll tackle them. This helps you stay focused on what truly matters, preventing distractions from derailing your day.

6. Practice Gratitude

Incorporating gratitude into your morning routine can shift your mindset from scarcity to abundance. Reflect on three things you’re grateful for each morning. This practice helps cultivate a positive outlook and reduces stress.

7. Embrace Stillness

In today’s hectic world, stillness can be a rare luxury. Whether through meditation, deep breathing exercises, EFT tapping or simply sitting in silence, embracing stillness in the morning helps you connect with your inner self and approach the day with calm and clarity.

The Ripple Effect: How Morning Routines Elevate Your Life

When you consistently elevate your mornings, you’ll notice a ripple effect throughout your life. Your energy levels increase, your mind becomes clearer, and you find yourself more resilient in the face of challenges. Elevated mornings lead to elevated days, which ultimately lead to an elevated life.

Enhanced Productivity

By starting your day with a clear mind and focused energy, you’ll find that you accomplish more with less effort. You’re more likely to stay on task, make better decisions, and avoid procrastination.

Improved Mental and Emotional Well-being

An elevated morning routine nurtures your mental and emotional health. Practices like gratitude, mindfulness, and physical exercise release stress and anxiety, promoting a positive mindset that lasts throughout the day.

Stronger Relationships

When you start your day in peace and doing something good for yourself, you’re more present and patient with those around you. This enhances your relationships, both personal and professional, leading to deeper connections and more meaningful interactions.

Greater Sense of Purpose

An elevated morning routine aligns you with your goals and values, providing a sense of purpose and direction. You’re not just going through the motions; you’re actively creating a life that reflects your highest aspirations.

Start Elevating Your Mornings Today

Transforming your mornings doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a gradual process that requires commitment and experimentation. Start small—pick one or two practices that resonate with you and build from there. As you refine your routine, you’ll discover what works best for you, and soon, you’ll find that your mornings have become the most empowering part of your day.

Remember, how you start your day shapes how you live your life. Elevate your mornings, and watch as you elevate every aspect of your existence. Your future self will thank you ❤

How to Elevate Your Life

”Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.”

Before stepping into your elevated self you need to take a moment to cherish and forgive the past version of yourself; the version that does not serve you any longer, the version that you have outgrown.

Maybe there are things in the past that you are not proud of; decisions you wish you had not made and plans not working out the way you hoped for. However, without these experiences you would not be where you are today. Everything you have gone through has taken you to this very moment. So, please forgive yourself for being too hard on yourself, for always judging your actions and whereabouts. You are exactly who you are meant to be right now. All is well in your life.

And now when we have cleared that out… It is time to step into your elevated self.

1. First things first, become clear about the limiting beliefs and blocks that are holding you back from achieving your potential and stepping into your most authentic self. Whether it is ” I am not good enough.” ”I am not lovable.” ”I am a bad person.” – You need to find out what the biggest block is, that is keeping you from moving forward in life. Be honest with yourself. Journal about your emotions and triggers and try to find the root cause; where do these beliefs stem from? Sometimes a limiting belief is something that we picked up along the way, while observing our environment and the people around us, meaning it does not even belong to us in the first place.

2. When you have befriended and fully accepted your limiting beliefs you can start to challenge them; are these beliefs even true? By replacing the beliefs with positive beliefs you will slowly but surely notice that the things that used to trigger you won’t have that kind of power over you any longer.

”I am good enough, and I am worthy of being seen and heard.” ”I am open to receiving love.” ”My needs matter.”

Overcoming and breaking a limiting belief won’t happen overnight; it requires time and dedicated practise to release something you have been holding onto for maybe several years. Show yourself some grace and compassion while doing the work. Below you will find a few steps that will make the process a bit easier and manageable.

Set aside time for the things you love. What did you enjoy as a child? Was it running on the beach chasing butterflies? Painting with water colors? Reading all the books you got your hands on? Singing with your best friend? Dancing with your siblings? Writing short stories? Allow your inner-child to come forth, and listen to what he/she has to say.

Spend time alone. Embrace the solitude, and the expansiveness that comes with being in your own presence. Don’t escape the silence by listening to music, reading, or scrolling on your phone, instead learn to be present with yourself, and become curious about getting to know yourself on a deeper level.

Express yourself to a fellow human. While it is important to spend time alone, it is equally important to share one’s thoughts with a trusted friend or a licensed psychologist. When sharing your thoughts and emotions with another person, you might become aware of just how dysfunctional they are. Being vulnerable by expressing thoughts and emotions may help you feel more clear-headed, light-hearted and detoxified.

Find a spiritual practise that aligns with you. Whether it is meditation, being in nature, eft tapping, praying, the outcome is the same – it will teach you how to learn to listen to your body and your intuition. Becoming more in tune with yourself, meaning not running away from yourself, but inhabiting the feeling of ”I am home.”

The final step is to start showing up as your elevated self. Start acting as your elevated self by visualising your life through the eyes of him/her. Ask yourself daily – ”What would my elevated self do in this situation?” Make decisions as him/her until you become that version of yourself. You change by doing the work, by taking daily action, by staying true to yourself. This change won’t happen overnight, it happens gradually. Yet, what I have noticed is that this change seems to happen all of a sudden, since the realisation suddenly appears – I am already her.

Maybe you are already healed

There’s nothing to change, nothing to improve, nothing to become. You are already complete. You are exactly who you are meant to be, in this moment. Surrender, trust and know, everything is happening for the highest good of all.

Healing is not a linear process; it happens in waves. Some days you wake up and feel like conquering the world, other days you feel like bed rotting. For some, healing can take several years, while for others it is a much faster process, it all depends on how we choose to respond to it.

There is a life beyond healing.

The importance of realising when you have become stuck in your healing process. When you find yourself being too comfortable doing all the shadow work, deep healing work, but not moving past that. Not taking any actions in improving your day-to-day life, since you are ”simply healing”, month after month, in your own comfortable bubble. When you are spending too much time alone, reflecting over the past, or dreaming of the future, in stead of actually living and exploring the moment you are in.

Don’t get me wrong; healing is important, since it helps you to get to know yourself on a deeper level and it teaches you how to love, and have compassion for yourself. But if you find yourself not moving past that deep inner work, if you struggle taking action based on your healed self, then it’s time to unknot yourself and allow this new version of yourself to shine through.

Change is scary, and acting in a completely different way from what you are used to will feel uncomfortable in the beginning. However, know that now you are acting in the most authentic way ever; after peeling off layer after layer you are now allowing your innermost self to come forth. This is the most you that you can be – Underneath the conditioning, past experiences, traumas, negative self-beliefs, lies a version of you that has always been there.

So, maybe you are already healed? Maybe it’s time for you to take that important next step? Yes, I know, it is comfy there within your comfort zone, but, you won’t grow or bloom being stuck there, year after year.

If this resonates with you, take it as a sign that it is time for you to move past your healing. Eventually the butterfly will transform.

The importance of staying true to yourself

In a world that constantly tells us who to be, what to wear, how to think, and what to aspire to, staying true to yourself can feel like a radical act of rebellion. Yet, it’s the most fulfilling path to inner contentment and genuine connections.

Embrace who you are at your core and let it shine forth in every aspect of your life.

But what does it mean being authentic?

Authenticity means being honest with yourself and others about who you are, what you believe, and how you feel. It’s about aligning your actions with your values and allowing your true self to be seen, even when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient.

First Step: Self-Reflection

Authenticity begins with self-reflection. Take time to understand your values, passions, strengths, and weaknesses. Journaling can be a powerful tool for this. For example you can begin to ask yourself questions like:

  • What are my core values?
  • What activities make me lose track of time?
  • When do I feel most alive?
  • What are my biggest fears, and why?

Being Perfectly Imperfect

Trying to be perfect will only move you further away from your authenticity. Instead, try to embrace your imperfections and vulnerabilities, and see how it will guide you to living a more authentic life. Recognize that everyone has flaws and that these imperfections in fact make you unique and relatable. By accepting yourself fully, you allow others to see the real you and with that forming deeper, more meaningful connections.

Setting Clear Boundaries

Being true to yourself often requires setting boundaries with others. This means saying no to things that don’t align with your values or drain your energy. It’s okay to prioritize your well-being and make choices that support your authentic self, even if it disappoints others. Remember, people who truly care about you will respect your boundaries.

Surround yourself with people who encourage you to be yourself. Seek out friends and mentors who celebrate your uniqueness and support your growth. These relationships will provide a safe space for you to explore your authenticity.

Self-Compassion & Living with Purpose

Being true to yourself isn’t always easy. You’ll definitely make mistakes and face a lot of challenges along the way. Practicing self-compassion means being kind to yourself during these times. Treat yourself with the same understanding and patience that you would offer a friend. Remember, growth stems from the process of learning and evolving.

What is more, authentic living is deeply connected to living with a sense of purpose, creating meaning in your everyday life. When you know what lights you up and when you align your actions with your passions, life becomes more meaningful. This can be either through your career, hobbies, or relationships. Whatever your passions are, find ways to incorporate them into your daily life.

With this being said, staying true to yourself is a continuous, ever evolving process. It requires courage, introspection, and a commitment to living in alignment with your core values and beliefs. Let yourself bloom, and allow yourself to take up space in this world. Your authenticity is your greatest strength, and by living it fully, you inspire others to do the same.

Why you need to step outside your comfort zone

Have you ever felt the urge to try something new but hesitated, thinking it might be too challenging or uncomfortable? You’re not alone. This comfort zone of ours is a familiar, safe space where we feel in control and where nothing can ever threaten us. However, while it’s a cosy place to be, it’s also where you become stagnant. Stepping outside this comfy zone can help you find new opportunities and ways to develop. And what is more, you get to know yourself at a deeper level.

Staying within your comfort zone can be detrimental in the long run, since there will be no room for you to grow; When you stick to what you know, you miss out on learning new skills and gaining new experiences. What is more, you might miss out on opportunities, since great opportunities often lie beyond the borders of your comfort zone. And lastly, over time, not challenging yourself can lead to a sense of stagnation and dissatisfaction.

What are the benefits of stepping outside your comfort zone?

First and foremost you will start to grow as a person. Facing new challenges help you build not only resilience, but confidence within yourself. Furthermore, it will enhance your creativity; New experiences stimulate your brain and spark your creativity, and this can lead to innovative ideas and solutions. When you take a step outside your comfort zone it will broaden your perspectives, as experiencing different situations and challenges expands not only your worldview, but forming you into a more open-minded and empathetic human.

Below you’ll find some real-life examples of stepping outside your comfort zone.

  • Learning a New Skill; It can be daunting at first, but learning a new skill enriches your life and expands your capabilities. Personally I started learning ballet 6 months ago. I’m a complete beginner, however, I already notice small improvements, and not only in my ballet technique, but in my overall confidence in life. I’m pretty sure that learning a new skill boosts our confidence as well as mood.
  • Traveling Solo; Traveling alone to a new place can be intimidating, yet it fosters independence, self-reliance, and a deep sense of accomplishment. Two years ago I travelled to Venice by myself (although I met up with a new friend when I was there). I truly gained a lot of new insights and experiences, and would do it all over again.
  • Say YES to new things; Learn to say yes more often, especially when you feel deep down in your heart that a yes is the right decision. Don’t let the fear of failure or not knowing what might happen keep you from trying new things – just go for it, stay curious and see where it might take you! At least you will learn something new.

With this being said, stepping outside your comfort zone is not about being reckless; it’s about embracing growth and pushing yourself to do new things, hence learning more about yourself. Each step you take into the unknown is a step toward becoming a more confident version of yourself. So, the next time you feel the pull to stay within your safe space, remember: growth happens when you challenge yourself.

Allow yourself to feel discomfort for a while, and watch yourself transform.

I stepped outside my comfort zone when I decided to write for 7 consecutive days, since this is my 7th post in a row. I haven’t been writing consistently since March, and I felt I needed a little boost and challenge. And I’ve come to realise that action leads to motivation, and not the other way around. Try it out for yourself! Is there something yo have been postponing lately, waiting for the motivation to sneak up on you? This is your sign to not wait any longer, but to take action.

Take your power back

Lately I’ve been noticing how much focus I’ve been putting on the external world. Like if something good happens then I can be happy, and not the other way around; I am happy -> I notice all the good already in my life, or good things come to me.

Sometimes I find myself struggling with being happy when nothing fun and exciting is happening. I have been dependent on the outside world to be a certain way in order to be fully content. Hence, now learning to shift my mindset to just being, happy and content with what is, no matter what happens.

”I am exactly where I need to be right now.” – a favorite mantra of mine. Effortlessly existing without the need to chase anything. What is meant for us will come to us, as long as we stay open and take aligned action. However, being patient, is not my strength. Always wanting things to happen now, or even better, yesterday... But I’ve noticed that when I’m consistent with my daily habits I feel more grounded and at peace, as these habits bring a sense of security and safety. I think the external world will always be a bit unpredictable, since constant change is part of it. Nothing ever stays the same as things, nature, humans are constantly evolving and transforming. And while it may feel daunting, at the same time, it’s the beauty of experiencing this life. That’s why it’s so important that we cherish each moment, and hold them close to our hearts.

We can’t control how other people will react towards us, or every circumstance that is brought to us, but we can control our own reactions. There lies an immense power within us, and sometimes it feels that we do not take advantage of our own power, but easily give that power away to someone else. Sorry my language; but how stupid is that…? Isn’t it about time that we take our power back? Our power to choose. And our power to live, exactly how we wish to live. It’s our birthright after all.

I love to connect with my higher self, she is always so calm, wise and joyful. Gracefully grounded. She always seems to have all the answers, she does not stress and she is certain that all is well in her life. She is filled with love, towards herself and others, and she does not care if she is not liked by all. She knows her strengths and weaknesses, and she is not afraid to grow and challenge herself.

And then, I’m suddenly reminded; She is not disconnected from me, she is always here, cause I am here. I am her.

Mindsets for growth

A healthy mind is a loving mind; towards the self as well as others.

As life is constantly moving forward, moment by moment, we too need to learn how to best adapt to the circumstances and changes happening both within and without.

Below you will find a few powerful mindsets to adapt in your day-to-day life to make it more prosperous and rewarding.

An abundance mindset – growth mindset

”There is enough for everybody’s need, but not for everybody’s greed”. – Mahatma Gandhi

There is plenty for everyone to go around. There is no lack in this universe; it’s simply a belief that you have been telling yourself all these years. Honor other people’s successes, be genuinely happy for people living their best lives. If another person succeeds, it doesn’t mean that there will be less for you. Instead, regard it as a source of inspiration. Just look at nature – she’s filled with beauty. Just look at the sky – it’s filled with endless possibilities. Just feel the earth – it’s filled with comfort. Ease, and peace. It’s all there for you to take in. Look within – and you will notice you already have everything you will ever need.

Focus on yourself

To focus on yourself is not a bad thing. It neither makes you selfish nor ignorant to what is happening around you. First you fill your own cup, then, you show others how to fill theirs. Focusing on yourself, means that you take full responsibility for your life. You are the one in charge for your own happiness and peace of mind. You decide what your life will look like; you get to paint your own future. What colors will you choose?

Honor the season you are in

Just as it’s not summer all the time, also you can’t be blossoming every single day. There is a season for every mood, for every emotion, for every version of you. As the winter months might be more reflecting, cosy and filled with hours of solitude, the summer months might be more expressive, vibrant and filled with hours of connection and laughter. Look at winter as the perfect time to plant those seeds. Take time to nourish and water them daily. Be consistent in your attentiveness towards them. Then, when spring is knocking on your door and invading your garden those seeds will be sprouting and showing their true colors.

Acceptance

While honoring the season you’re in, don’t forget to accept the season as well. It’s only from acceptance that we move forward. Accepting ourselves fully, everything we have experienced, as well as those things we have not yet created. You are exactly where you need to be right now. It might be cloudy and messy, and seemingly without clear directions. However, know that it’s only a stopover, it’s not the final destination. You always have the power to evolve and grow past your current situation. Accept where you are, and from there advance further. It’s a journey, remember to enjoy it as well.

What is your favorite mindset that you find important to embrace in your day-to day life? Please share.

Embracing silence

”A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear.”

In a world that is constantly on speaker mode, or so it seems. Noice, opinions, judgments, the news. Look here, read this, like this, validate me, think this, believe this, be this. Be still. Be aware of what you consume. You can choose what information houses your brain.

However, I agree, it can be difficult to find moments of peace and rest when we’re constantly being bombarded with stimuli. But without the comfort of the silence we won’t find the answers we are looking for. You see, the answers you seek, already rest within. If you only took the time each day to simply sit with yourself, to enjoy your own precious company, you would eventually realise the wisdom that lies beneath all those outer, dense layers you have collected throughout the years.

I don’t mean that you can’t be inspired by others, and seek stimulation from the external. Of course you can! And you should. Inspiration and worldly experiences are amazing and make us connect with our fellow humans. Yet, there is a part of you that craves serenity. The more calm and peacefulness it gets to experience, the larger it will grow. And the larger it grows the more you will expand and merge with this life. And the more connected you are with life the more alive you will feel.

Don’t be afraid of the silence, instead engage with it with curiosity and know that it has something to say. The more silence you invite into your day, the more you will realise that the silence is neither still nor empty, in fact, it’s filled with life.

Dear July…

… hug me, I want to feel your heart beat.

”Sometimes I’m weak, scared and vulnerable, nevertheless, more often I’m strong, confident and alive. At peace.”

July is for chasing dreams. Catching stars. Peaceful, dark summer nights. July is for late evening swims, enjoying the calmness of the sea. The calmness of the heart. July is for creativity, an imagination deeper than ever. The dark, dark sky filled with stars. Filled with hope. July is for believing in the power of nature. The power of humanity. Humid days and foggy nights. July is for beautiful souls searching for inner peace. Inner light. Loving kindness, curiosity and bravery.

Everything is temporarily; the dark night, the softness of a new dawn. Flow with the current. Flow with the speed of light. Darling, be the light. Be the love this beautiful world so desperately needs. Find comfort within. Turn inwards, speak to your soul – let it out, let it dance.

July darling, we discovered something lately. Something serene, spacious and still. To carry with us. Wherever we go. Whenever we fall. We rise up. It’s our full moon, deep ocean. Our clear blue sky. The air we’re exhaling, inhaling. And we carry it, within our hearts.

I welcome you, darling July. Let’s get lost in this dark, deep, devoted night, brimmed with seduction, soul and sparkling light. Dance with me under the moonlit sky. The nightfall won’t last forever, however, expect miracles when nature’s filled with work of art, true beauty in every heart. And lastly, kiss me gently on my cheek, and know, you’ll always be the one I seek.

How to Step Into Your Feminine Energy: A Journey to Inner Balance and Empowerment

Feminine energy is not confined to any specific gender; it is a universal force that brings balance, creativity, and intuition into our lives. By embracing your feminine energy, you can find harmony, enhance your relationships, and unlock a deeper sense of self.

When you start to tap into your feminine energy, you’ll likely notice a shift in various aspects of your life. Relationships may become more harmonious as you approach them with empathy and understanding. You might find greater joy and satisfaction in your creative endeavours. Overall, you’ll experience a sense of balance and wholeness that enriches your daily life.

Understanding Feminine Energy

Feminine energy is often associated with qualities such as intuition, empathy, creativity, nurturing, and receptivity. It is the yin to the yang, offering a counterbalance to the assertive, analytical, and action-oriented masculine energy. Both energies are needed for a harmonious life, and embracing your feminine side doesn’t mean abandoning your masculine traits; it’s about achieving balance.

Below you will find 8 ways on how you can step into your feminine energy and integrate it in your daily life.

Steps to Embrace Your Feminine Energy

  1. Cultivate Self-Awareness
    • Begin by becoming aware of your current energy balance. Reflect on how you approach tasks, relationships, and self-care. Do you often find yourself in an action-oriented mode, or do you allow yourself time to rest and reflect? Journaling can be a helpful tool in this process, since it allows you to identify patterns and areas for growth.
  2. Practice Mindfulness and Intuition
    • Feminine energy thrives on intuition and being present in the here and now. Engage in practices like meditation, the arts, or simply spend time in nature to quiet your mind and allow your own unique inner voice to come forth. Making space for stillness can enhance your intuitive abilities.
  3. Nurture Your Creative Side
    • Creativity is a powerful expression of feminine energy. Whether it’s painting, writing, dancing, or cooking; find activities that ignite your creative spark. Allow yourself to explore and experiment without judgment, focusing on the process rather than the outcome. Remember, it’s not about doing, it’s about being fully emerged in the practise.
  4. Embrace Emotional Expression
    • Allow yourself to feel and express your emotions fully. Feminine energy is deeply connected to the heart, and to learn how to embrace all of your emotions can lead to greater self-compassion and empathy for others. Don’t be afraid to sit with your feelings, just let them flow through you without holding on to any of them – observing rather than judging. Share your feelings with trusted friends or family members, or explore them through different creative outlets.
  5. Prioritize Self-Care and Nourishment
    • Taking care of your body and soul is crucial in nurturing your feminine energy. Create rituals that make you feel pampered and loved, whether it’s a warm bath, a good book, a sweaty workout, or a walk in nature. Listen to your own unique needs and honour them.
  6. Connect with Others
    • Foster relationships that nourish and support you, and don’t be afraid to be vulnerable with your loved ones. Join communities or groups that align with your interests and values, to expand your network of support.
  7. Balance Giving and Receiving
    • Feminine energy is inherently receptive. Practice allowing yourself to receive help, compliments, and kindness from others. This can be challenging, especially if you’re used to being the giver, but it’s essential for balance. Remember, receiving graciously is a gift to the giver as well. A heartful ”thank you” is enough.
  8. Honour Cycles and Rhythms
    • Just like nature, feminine energy transforms and moves in cycles. Acknowledge and respect the natural rhythms of your life, from daily routines to the seasons. Allow yourself days of rest and contemplation, and don’t push yourself to constantly be productive. Allow yourself to be winter when you are winter, and summer when you are summer.

Stepping into your feminine energy is a journey of self-realisation and empowerment. It’s about embracing qualities that bring peace and balance into your life, allowing you to travel through life with grace, passion and creativity, in your most authentic way.

Remember, the journey is personal and unique to each individual. Be patient and compassionate with yourself as you explore your feminine energy.
