How to find beauty in the ordinary

True beauty is found in the ordinary. It’s about shifting your perspective to see value and wonder in everyday chores and activities. Here’s how you can start:

1. Practice Mindfulness in Everyday Moments

  • Slow Down: Rushing through daily tasks can make everything feel mundane and boring. Take a deep breath and engage fully with what you’re doing. Whether it’s washing dishes, cleaning, walking, or drinking coffee, tune in to the small details. Make the moment count.
  • Notice Your Senses: Notice the smell of your morning coffee, the warmth of sunlight through the bedroom window, or the subtle sound of snow fall. Bringing attention to these sensory experiences turns even routine activities into moments of enjoyment.

2. Document the Little Things

  • Capture Simple Moments: Take photos of everyday objects or scenes you find interesting; something as simple as a cup of tea, a stack of books, or the way light hits a wall during sunset. Over time, you’ll start to notice more beauty in these ordinary tiny details.
  • Keep a Journal of the Magic Wonders: Write down things you’re grateful for or something that make you smile each day. Revisiting these notes reminds you of all the good in your life.

3. Appreciate the Art of Nature

  • Observe Natural Patterns: Nature is full of extraordinary beauty: the pattern of a leaf, the colors of a sunset, the shapes of clouds. Look closely at these details and watch your entire being calm down.
  • Seasons Change: Notice how the world changes throughout the months, even in subtlest of ways. The rusty smell of fall leaves, the fragrance rich spring, winter silence, or summer warmth; they all posses their own magic.

4. Observe People and Places

  • See People’s Intrinsic Beauty: Look for what makes a person unique — the mannerisms, the way of speaking, or how kindness is shown. Every person has a story, and to see that story adds depth and meaning to your perception of others.
  • Appreciate Your Home: Notice the sense of comfort it brings to be around your favorite things, whether it’s your comfiest blanket, your most cherished coffee mug or the home made art on your walls.

5. Create Small Rituals

  • Acts of Care: Cooking, cleaning, or even tidying up can become meaningful if you view them as ways of caring for yourself or your environment. Declutter and make room for fresh thoughts to enter.
  • Create Small Rituals: Light a candle while you read or knit, listen to your favorite playlist while you cook, or brew herbal tea before bed. Rituals add intention and make everyday actions feel special.

6. Embrace Curiosity

  • See the World with New Eyes: Stay curious, even around the ordinary things, as if you’re experiencing them for the first time. This can be as simple as looking at a flower with fresh eyes, or listening to your favorite song with fresh ears.
  • Find Beauty in Your Imperfections: Your quirks and imperfections are a vital part of you — they are part of your story. Finding beauty in your flaws remind you that everything is, in fact, perfectly imperfect.

7. Express Through Art

  • Embrace Creativity: Whenever you have free time draw, paint, knit, sing, write, or take photos of ordinary things that inspire you. Creative expression brings out the unique beauty within you.
  • Everyday Poetry: Jot down small details in your life. Even writing a short line or two about something you noticed that day can help you remember them, as well as feel more connected to the beauty of your surroundings.

8. Notice Acts of Kindness and Connection

  • Look for Small Kindnesses: Simple interactions; someone holding a door or a warm greeting, hold a quiet beauty.
  • Celebrate Relationships: Appreciate the ordinary moments in your relationships — shared hobbies, a meaningful conversation, a warm hug. These small acts often carry the most significance.

Finding beauty in the ordinary is about becoming aware of the abundance in things we often take for granted. Once you start, you’ll find that beauty is everywhere.

Dear November…

… let’s get lost, shall we?

”Get lost, on the path less traveled, and return, a little bit more well-lived.”

Embrace the thought – Never fully completed – and your existence becomes a little less intimidating. More light-hearted, less heavy. You do not have to have all the answers. All the lovers. All the glimmery, shiny things. As long as you have an intense yearning to listen, understand, and respond accordingly. As long as you carry within a deep desire to experience all that’s making you grow, bold and flow. Compassionate.

Feeling lost is a universal, often unsettling experience. It’s a moment when the familiar becomes unfamiliar, leaving us questioning our choices, identities, or purpose. This feeling can be triggered by unexpected life changes, difficult decisions, or when neglecting our core values and authentic self. However uncomfortable, feeling lost often points to a deeper need for self-discovery, growth, and renewal. It can act as a quiet invitation for you to pause, reflect, and redefine what truly matters. In many ways, feeling lost is less about being ”off-course” and more about letting go of old directions to make space for new insights and possibilities.

……………

Get lost, on the path less traveled, and return,
a little bit more well-lived.
With bruises and scars, but a heart so filled.

Smell the roses, taste your tears,
unlock your laugh. Whenever your voice can’t carry you
– in an honest manner – speak, however soft, and weak.

It’s a spinning wheel, or a tranquil deal. Your choice.
Off-track, on-track, in-between, love and laughter,
fear and disaster. It is you life, be that as it may,
always say thank you, for this new day.
You do not know what it has in store for you,
this particular today.

……………..

November dear, I welcome you. You’re one of a kind, perfectly designed. I sense something wonderful
is about to unwind.

Ending the Year on a Good Note: How to Close the Year with Intention and Purpose

The year is coming to an end, and it’s a beautiful time to take a moment to reflect on the past months. Ending the year on a positive, intentional note can give you a satisfying sense of closure and help lay the groundwork for a fresh start.

Here are some ways to finish your year feeling grounded, accomplished, and ready for what’s to come.

1. Reflect on Your Accomplishments

It’s easy to focus on all that we haven’t yet done, as well as the things that didn’t go as planned. However, take a moment to remember all that you’ve accomplished, all the highlights. Consider the moments you’re proud of, however big or small. Did you build new habits, break bad habits, nurture relationships, learn new skills, or take steps toward a goal? Writing down these wins can be empowering and can help you recognise just how much you actually have achieved.

Tip: Make a list of three to five accomplishments that make you feel proud, and keep it somewhere you can see. They don’t have to be huge—sometimes, the small wins add up in unexpected ways.

Some of my ”small”(not so small) personal accomplishments: I started practising ballet, I quit coffee, releasing negative limiting beliefs, I’ve been reading approx. 2-3 books per month, improving my overall health; feeling more energised and active, a huge focus on personal development, etcetera etcetera.

2. Reconnect with Your “Why”

Over the course of the year, it’s common to feel disconnected from the reasons behind your goals. Whether you want to work on your career, health, personal development, or relationships, revisit the motivations that got you started to begin with. This is a good moment to ask yourself, “Why did I want this?” and to reassess whether those goals still resonate. This reflection can help you close the year with a clear sense of purpose, even if your goals evolved and changed along the way, which they usually do…

Tip: Try journaling for a few minutes about what excites you or brings you joy. This can bring clarity and reignite a sense of purpose moving into the new year.

I really would like to bring more creativity into 2025. I would love to start painting again

3. Clear Out the Clutter

Physically and mentally, decluttering has a way of refreshing your outlook. Take a day to clean out a specific area, like your workspace, digital files, or closet. This doesn’t just make things tidier; it can also help you create space for new experiences and opportunities to come to you.

Tip: Start small with a “15-minute declutter” session. Pick one drawer or one folder, and let that small success build momentum for more.

4. Show Appreciation

One of the most rewarding ways to end the year? Express gratitude! Take a moment to reach out to people who have made a difference in your life, whether it’s a quick message, a card, or even just a simple “thank you” in person. Acknowledging others often has the surprising effect of making us feel happier, too.

Tip: Write a quick note or email to someone who impacted your year positively—perhaps a friend, colleague, mentor, or family member.

5. Set a “Mini Goal” for the End of the Year

Sometimes, closing the year with one last mini goal can be highly motivating. It doesn’t have to be a big commitment—maybe it’s reading a book you’ve had on your list, getting a new workout routine in, or finally starting to drink more water. Having a small goal gives you something to focus on, and a small win before the year is out.

Tip: Choose something you genuinely enjoy or have wanted to try, and keep it manageable. The idea is to go into the new year with a feeling of accomplishment!

I will meditate every morning for 15 minutes…

6. Set Intentions for the New Year

Planning for the new year doesn’t need to be about setting rigid new years’ resolutions. Instead, think of it as crafting a guiding intention. What do you wish to see more of in your life? What would you like to leave behind? Intentions give you a direction rather than a specific endpoint, which can feel more achievable and less daunting.

Tip: Instead of one major resolution, try creating a list of themes or words for the new year—like “growth,” “balance,” or “creativity”—to keep as guiding principles.

My word for 2025: Creativity, grace, love, calm, bliss, opportunities.

Celebrate Your Progress

Ending the year on a good note is all about celebrating who you’ve become and setting a tone of positivity and self-compassion for the next chapter. So, as 2024 is coming to an end, embrace the chance to acknowledge your unique journey. Take stock of all that you’ve learned, let go of what doesn’t serve you, and head into the new year with purpose and determination; Stay curious for all that’s to come!

With love,

Linda

Harnessing the Power of the Winter Months: A Guide to Embracing the Season

Winter often receives a negative perception, with its shorter days, colder temperatures, and the stillness of nature. However, beneath this chilly façade, winter carries a special energy that invites us to reflect, grow, and renew ourselves. By choosing to embrace the season instead of fighting against it, we can tap into winter’s unique power to nurture our personal and professional lives, fostering resilience and introspection during this quieter time.

Here’s how you can make the most of winter’s transformative energy.

1. Embrace Stillness and Reflection

Winter serves as a gentle reminder from nature that taking time for rest and reflection is truly vital. As trees lose their leaves and animals curl up in hibernation, the world around us quiets down, inviting us to pause our busy lives. This season encourages us to slow our pace and to thoughtfully consider our own journeys.

Consider using the winter months to reflect on the year gone by. What have you accomplished? What challenges did you face? It’s okay to recognize both your triumphs and the moments where things didn’t go as planned. Remember that every experience is an opportunity for growth.

Reflection brings clarity. Engaging in activities like journaling, meditating, or savoring peaceful walks in the brisk winter air can provide valuable insights into your next steps. Embrace this time to set intentions for the coming year, drawing on the wisdom and understanding you’ve gained through your reflections. You’re not alone in this process—many of us are navigating similar paths of introspection and renewal during this quiet, contemplative season.

2. Focus on Personal Development

While spring and summer bring vibrant energy and endless activities, winter invites us to slow down and turn our focus inward. This serene season can be a wonderful opportunity for personal growth and reflection. Consider embracing these winter months as a time to nurture yourself—perhaps by learning a new skill, immersing yourself in a book you’ve been eager to dive into, or enrolling in an online course. Winter’s quietude allows you to deepen your knowledge and expand your capabilities at a comfortable pace.

Use this tranquil time to thoughtfully outline your professional aspirations, whether that’s seeking a promotion, launching a side project that excites you, or refining your personal brand to align with your goals. Remember, it’s a season of creativity and self-care, so take the time to invest in your future with compassion and intention.

3. Tap Into the Power of Routine

The lack of natural light and colder temperatures can easily disrupt our routines. However, a strong winter routine can be a source of stability and motivation. Creating a morning or evening ritual—whether it’s a cup of tea, stretching, working out, or reading—can help anchor your day.

Incorporating movement into your daily routine is also essential in the winter. While it’s tempting to hibernate indoors under ten blankets, physical activity is crucial for both mental and physical well-being during the darker months. Find ways to stay active that fit the season and your mood, whether it’s winter sports like skiing, ice skating, or simply slow yin yoga, or walking outside to enjoy the crisp air.

4. Harness Hygge: The Art of Cozy Living

Winter presents a wonderful opportunity to embrace comfort and nurture ourselves. Here in the Scandinavian countries (and Finland), where the long and harsh winters can feel overwhelming, people turn to the concept of hygge—a Danish term that beautifully expresses the feelings of coziness, warmth, and well-being. By adopting this practice, we can gently transform the isolating moments of winter into a season filled with comfort and joy, reminding ourselves that it’s okay to seek solace and connection during these chilly days.

Create a cozy space in your home with blankets, candles, and soft lighting. Enjoy slow, heart-warming meals, hot drinks, and the company of loved ones. Hygge encourages us to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, helping us find warmth even on the coldest days.

5. Set Clear Intentions for the Coming Year

Winter is the perfect prelude to new beginnings. As the year comes to an end, it’s time to set intentions for the months ahead. Unlike New Year’s resolutions that can feel fleeting, intentions are more enduring, authentic and less rigid.

As you take this moment, allow yourself the space to envision your desires for the coming year. Consider winter as a gentle ripening period, a time to reflect and nurture the dreams that will soon flourish in the vibrant energy of spring. What nurturing seeds will you plant now to ensure an abundant harvest in the months ahead?

6. Reconnect with Nature’s Rhythms

Even though it may feel like nature is resting during the winter months, there is still a remarkable beauty and activity all around us. Birds are making their migrations, animals are adapting to the chilly conditions, and beneath the snow, the earth is quietly regenerating. Taking time to immerse yourself in nature—whether through winter hikes, skiing adventures, or simply observing the serene, changing landscapes—can be a wonderful way to feel more connected and grounded to Mother Nature; helping you to move in accordance with the season.

By aligning yourself with the natural rhythms of winter, you might discover a deeper sense of attunement to your own body’s needs for rest, nourishment, and rejuvenation. The cold, crisp air, the soothing sound of snow crunching beneath your feet, or the breathtaking sight of a sunrise on a frosty morning can all serve as gentle reminders of winter’s subtle yet powerful vitality.

7. Declutter and Simplify

Winter is also an excellent time to declutter and simplify your life. The holidays often bring excess—more stuff, more commitments, more stress. Take the winter months to cut back on what’s unnecessary in your home, your schedule, and even your mind.

Clearing physical and mental space makes room for new opportunities and helps cultivate a sense of calm and control. As you prepare for the renewal of spring, use winter to let go of anything that no longer serves you.

Conclusion: Winter as a Season of Power

Winter can often feel like a time of limitation, but its potential for empowerment is just one mindset shift away. This season invites us to pause, to reflect, and to nurture our personal growth while building meaningful connections with ourselves and others. By moving with the natural rhythms of winter and recognizing the unique gifts it provides, we can emerge from this season feeling more balanced, rejuvenated, and prepared to embrace the fresh opportunities that spring will bring.

This winter, let’s not merely endure the coldness—let’s embrace its strength and allow it to inspire us as we move forward on our journeys.

The High-Value Woman: Embracing Grace, Kindness, and Wisdom

Being a high-value woman transcends mere material success or superficial recognitions; it is a powerful journey of nurturing an unshakeable sense of self-worth, exquisite inner beauty, and unwavering strength. A high-value woman is a luminous force, radiating grace, kindness, and profound wisdom—three ageless qualities that beautifully empower her to journey through life with fierce purpose and boundless compassion.

There’s a lot of talk about being a high-value woman, but what does that actually entail? I’ve been reflecting on this for some time, and three words consistently come to mind that I strongly associate with being a high-value woman – Grace, kindness & wisdom.

While there are many qualities that define a high-value woman, in this blog post, I’ll focus on these three key aspects.

1. Grace: The Quiet Strength

Grace is frequently misconceived as mere outward elegancean effortless poise or tranquility amid life’s misfortunes. However, genuine grace runs much deeper; it is a vibrant and harmonious unity of inner strength and humility. It involves navigating life’s tumultuous waves with steadfast dignity and profound understanding, even when the tides don’t favor our desires. A high-value woman does not merely present grace on the surface—she radiates it from her very core, passionately living her truth in every moment.

Embracing grace means you’re able to stay centered and rise above negativity, bitterness, or pettiness. It allows you to respond to others with calm confidence, to handle conflicts with patience, and to forgive even when forgiveness feels hard. You’re not easily disturbed by life’s storms because your value isn’t tied to external circumstances. Instead, you move through life with an unwavering sense of peace, grounded in who you are.

Grace also means giving yourself the space to be imperfect. A high-value woman knows she doesn’t need to be perfect to be worthy. She doesn’t chase perfection; rather she strives for authenticity. She is not afraid to make mistakes, as she regards them as merely challenges to learn from, as they are an essential part of life.

2. Kindness: The Courage to Care

Kindness is more than a polite gesture or a smile; it’s the heartbeat of a high-value woman’s character. It’s a reflection of inner generosity and empathy, a deep understanding that every human being has worth. In a world that can sometimes feel harsh and competitive, the ability to be kind is a true mark of strength.

A high-value woman shows kindness not as a means of getting something in return but because it’s who she is at her core. She listens without judgment, and creates a safe space for others to feel seen and heard. Her kindness uplifts, heals, and empowers those around her.

Being kind also involves setting boundaries. A high-value woman knows that kindness doesn’t mean self-sacrifice. She’s able to offer warmth and compassion while maintaining her own emotional and mental well-being. True kindness starts with self-kindness—nurturing her own needs, so she can give from a place of abundance.

Kindness, when combined with wisdom, becomes a transformative force. It can soften even the hardest of hearts and create meaningful, authentic relationships. People will always remember how you made them feel.

3. Wisdom: The Knowledge to Empower

Wisdom isn’t just about having knowledge or being well-read; it’s about understanding life on a deeper, spiritual level. A high-value woman embraces wisdom by continually seeking growth, reflection, and learning. She’s in tune with herself and the world around her, which enables her to make thoughtful, informed decisions.

Wisdom is knowing when to speak and when to listen. It’s about discerning what truly matters and letting go of what doesn’t. A wise woman has clarity of thought, recognizing that life’s challenges are often opportunities for growth. She’s not easily swayed by temporary setbacks or external validation because her wisdom keeps her anchored in her own truth.

Through wisdom, she sees beyond the surface. She understands the value of patience, timing, and grace. Rather than rushing through life or reacting impulsively, she takes her time to think things through, ensuring her actions align with her values.

Moreover, wisdom helps her embrace vulnerability. She knows that true strength lies not in avoiding discomfort but in facing it head-on with courage. Whether it’s navigating relationships, career challenges, or personal growth, she trusts her intuition and learns from her experiences, knowing that each moment adds to her source of wisdom.

The Power of Self-Respect and Inner Peace

The true power of a high-value woman lies in her self-respect and inner peace. She understands that her worth is not defined by external validation, wealth, or appearance but by her character and values. This woman doesn’t seek to prove her value to others because she already knows her worth. She is fulfilled not by fleeting achievements but by a life lived with intention, passion and integrity.

The Legacy of a High-Value Woman

A high-value woman is more than her accomplishments or appearance. She’s a lighthouse, embracing grace, kindness, and wisdom, with strength and serenity radiating from the inside out. Her legacy is not just in what she achieves but in how she makes others feel, how she lifts those around her, and how she carries herself through life’s journey.

Being a high-value woman is not about reaching a final destination. It’s a lifelong practice, a journey of self-discovery and growth that enriches not only your life but also the lives of everyone you touch.

Embrace your grace, lead with kindness, and let wisdom guide you.

From Frustration to Fulfilment: A Guide to Trusting the Process

”Learning to Trust the Process: Embracing Patience and Finding Joy in the Journey.”

Why Is Patience So Hard?

Why is it that most humans seem to believe that life is more about the end goal, than actually enjoying the ride, and the process towards achieving that end goal?

That annoying frustration that occurs while waiting for results. Like the act of waiting in itself would produce tangible results – No, I’m afraid not. There needs to be a dance between taking inspired action and trusting the process.

9 months ago I decided that I wanted to start learning ballet, and what can I say; it has been a slow progress. Ballet is one of the most difficult skills to master, and here I am thinking that I should master it within a few months! A skill that requires a lifetime to master! However, then I come back to my senses, and tell myself that ”Linda you’re doing a great job just by showing up to class, and for learning something new as an adult, and something as challenging as ballet; that is an achievement in itself!”

But then, there is always this constant struggle between wanting immediate results, and embracing the need to wait.

The Problem with a “Results-Only” Mindset

Why are we so obsessed with immediate outcomes?

The craving for instant gratification—a desire for immediate reward or satisfaction—is deeply embedded in human behavior, amplified today by technology and social media.

In an age where information, entertainment, and acknowledgment are just a tap away, we’ve become accustomed to getting quick dopamine bursts from likes, comments, and messages. Social media platforms are structured around this need, allowing us to showcase highlights of our lives, from personal achievements to everyday wins. This instant feedback loop not only satisfies our need for validation but also shapes how we present ourselves, often curating a version of life that emphasizes the highs. While celebrating successes publicly can inspire and connect us, it can also feed the impulse for instant validation, creating a cycle where we seek more frequent recognition and affirmation online.

There’s nothing wrong with seeking inspiration from others, however, remember that you can inspire yourself as well, and you should! Letting outside validation be your driving force will eventually lead to disappointment, burnout, or even moments of despair when the validation slowly fades away. Therefore, one of the most important virtues – Learn to validate yourself.

The process – whether it’s mastering a new skill, getting a promotion, unlearning destructive mental patterns, changing career or life path- can and will most likely be uncomfortable. The actual learning process shapes you into someone better equipped to handle the success you’re striving for, it helps form you into the person you are yet to become. Yet, the more I think about it ”The person you are yet to become.” – It’s not so much about becoming, but rather to fully embrace being in the present moment.

What “Trusting the Process” Really Means

Trusting the process can mean different things to different people. To me trusting the process means leaning into a higher power; a force that is constantly around – within and without. I’m trying my best to dance with this force on a daily basis, letting it guide me, noticing its subtle signs and synchronicities. And the more present I am, the smoother the dance. This doesn’t mean that I don’t take responsibility for my part; there needs to be a co-operation. I am it, as much as it is me.

Try to see the waiting period as an important time for growth. During a “waiting” period, you’re not actually waiting passively. You’re learning new skills, building resilience, or developing insights you couldn’t gain otherwise. The waiting period is in fact a necessity; without it we would not evolve and grow into the next versions of ourselves.

Practical Tips for Embracing Patience and Finding Joy Along the Way

  • Set Smaller Milestones: Set small, and easily achievable milestones and celebrate them. Breaking down big goals into small victories helps keep your motivation up.
  • Daily Reflection or Journaling: Start each day with a short journaling session, as this will help you see the progress you’re making, even if it feels slow. What is more, journaling and self-reflection can help highlight positive changes and create a sense of accomplishment.
  • Mindfulness Practices: Mindfulness or gratitude practices can help you stay present and enjoy where you are, right now. A calm, centered mindset is more likely to tackle and find solutions to obstacles and challenges when they arise. Start asking yourself on a daily basis: How do I feel right now? What is one thing I can do today that will take me one step closer to my desires? How can I make the most out of this day?

Letting Go and Leaning In

With this being said, while it’s natural to crave quick results, there’s immense value in letting go of strict timelines. By learning to trust the process, you’re setting yourself up not just for results, but for growth and a more fulfilling journey.

Try to embrace patience in a small area of your life this week, whether it’s something as small as just queuing without having to distract yourself meanwhile. Allow yourself to just be, and trust the process.

There is No Timeline; Move Forward at Your Own Pace

Moving forward at your own pace, without the burden of comparing yourself to others, is one of the most freeing mindsets you can embrace.

A truth we often overlook: there is no one timeline for success. Life isn’t a race or a competition; it’s a journey that we each get to walk in our own way. We choose where we want to go, how we want to do it and when we want to do it. No one is handing over you a manuscript; you are the writer. The creator.

The Illusion of a ”Right” Timeline

There are endless variations to the human experience. Many of the people I admire found their stride later in life, after trying different paths, failing, learning, and eventually discovering what they truly loved. Fulfilment can come at any age and any stage. Let life move through you, harmoniously, according to the seasons.

You’re not “behind” if your life don’t match an imaginary timeline that society puts on us. The reality is that life very seldom fits into neat boxes. People change careers, take breaks, start over, learn new things, unlearn, and grow at different paces. Not everything needs to happen by a certain age or in a specific order. I like to believe that the most rewarding paths are the ones we take when we stop obsessing over where we ”should” be, and instead boldly move in the direction of our inner voice. You know that soft, quiet voice that sometimes can be difficult to hear, but that is always speaking, whispering to you; go there. do that, trust.

Embracing Your Unique Journey

When you let go of the pressure to adhere to a certain timeline, you start to see your journey with fresh eyes. Instead of seeing yourself as behind, why not ask yourself: What truly matters to me? What do I enjoy? What is it that truly fulfils me, regardless of external validation?

One of the best things about moving forward at your own pace is that you get to live on your terms. You get to try things out, make mistakes, learn, and grow without the fear of not keeping up with others. Your timeline is yours alone. By honoring it, you honor yourself and your authentic experience.

The Power of Pausing

Taking time to pause allows you to reflect, recharge, and realign with your goals. Moving forward doesn’t always mean moving fast. Sometimes, the best way to move forward is to take a break, reassess where you are, and adjust your direction if needed. This pause can lead to new insights, and a greater sense of clarity and purpose.

When you don’t allow yourself this breathing room, you’re more likely to experience burnout, dissatisfaction, and a disconnect from what truly matters to us. By contrast, moving forward at our own pace, even with breaks along the way, can lead to a more sustainable, joyful journey.

Letting Go of Comparison

Comparison is one of the biggest barriers to embracing your own pace. It’s natural to look at where others are in life and feel a pang of envy or self-doubt. But comparing your life to someone else’s is nothing but a waste of time —each journey is unique, with different challenges, opportunities, and timing. Think about it for a second; You get to live your life! How beautiful is that! You get to create and make room for everything wonderful along the way. Be grateful.

When you compare yourself to others, you miss out on the beauty of our own journey. Instead of focusing on what you lack or all the things you haven’t accomplished yet, try celebrating where you are and the progress you’ve made. Even if it feels small, each step forward is a step closer to your own happiness.

Moving Forward: A Personal Pace

The idea of moving forward at your own pace means letting go of self-imposed deadlines that don’t align with your current reality. It means trusting that your journey will unfold in a way that’s right for you.

Perhaps you’re in the middle of navigating a career change, returning to school, or choosing to focus on personal growth, rather than climbing a corporate ladder. Whatever your path, remember that progress is progress, no matter how slow or unconventional it may seem to others. Moving forward at your own pace isn’t about settling or doing less; it’s about being intentional with each of your steps, taking time to understand what you want out of life, and having the courage to pursue it, no matter how long it takes.

How to Embrace Your Own Timeline

  1. Define Your Own Success: Take time to think about what success genuinely means to you. Is it a fulfilling career, meaningful relationships, a peaceful lifestyle, or personal growth? Define your own version of success and use it as your guiding star.
  2. Celebrate Small Wins: Every step forward matters. Celebrate the small wins along the way and recognize that growth is happening, even if it doesn’t seem big or glamorous.
  3. Avoid Comparisons: Remember, the only person you need to compare yourself to is the person you were yesterday. Focus on your own progress, not anyone else’s.
  4. Take Breaks When Needed: Don’t be afraid to rest or change directions if needed. Growth doesn’t always happen linearly, and a well needed pause can be part of the progress.
  5. Trust Your Timing: Have faith that your journey will unfold as it’s meant to. Oftentimes, the greatest opportunities come when we least expect them.

The beauty of life comes from the fact that every journey is unique. There is no timeline you need to follow to be successful, happy, or fulfilled. By moving forward at your own pace, you open yourself up to experiencing life in a way that feels right for you, allowing yourself the freedom to explore, grow, and create a life meaningful to you.

Dear October…

… there’s no June without you.

”The silent hour of night,
and my heart suddenly arise,
caressing my awaken sight,
while awaiting life, with blissful eyes.”

As October settles into the world, there’s a quiet shift in the air, a subtle invitation to slow down. To breathe deeper. The days grow shorter, and the crispness of autumn brushes the mornings. Leaves, still clinging to their branches, contemplating their fall before letting go.

In this transition, mindfulness comes easily. You begin to notice the small things, the vital things. And with each breath, there’s a grounding, an awareness of the moment. The air cool, but gentle. The sky stretches wide and open, its light softening, casting a golden glow over everything it touches.

October feels like a month of pause, a reminder to be present, to notice the earth preparing for its quiet rest. It’s a season that whispers to us to be still, to watch the world change around us, and to feel the beauty in simply being.

…………………………..

This October is all about harnessing the talents within. Cultivating curiosity, courage, confidence and creativity. Life is filled with opportunities. Trust. It’s about accepting and releasing emotions, negative thoughts. Reaching out to humans through loving kindness and warm-hearted action. Striving for growth and progression. Connection and compassion. Speaking with integrity. Being impeccable with the words.

There’s always a reason to choose happy. Keep it fresh and wild, darling soul child.

In the beginning, when your goals out of reach, you’ll have to trust yourself. Trust that you have what it takes to get to where you want to be. In the end it’s only you who decide who you are, and what’s possible to achieve.

Small steps, and every tiny victory, will take you further along the road. If you have a clear vision of where you see yourself in the future – keep that vision in your mind and never lose sight of it. You don’t have to know exactly how you’re going to get there, just believe that you will. Strive to always challenge yourself, and remember – enjoy the process as well.

I welcome you, dear October. I believe your cold breeze sings to me, as your gloomy night speaks to me. My quiet thoughts secretly in love with your dark, fierce character. However, be gentle, be kind, as summer, still on my mind. And while I’m reading you slowly, I’ve become aware, that beneath that brisk, unpredictable wind, lies a warm, delicate soul, teaching us all how to grow. Quiet the mind. Dance with every breath. Now is the time to set all worries aside, to rise above limiting beliefs and self-destructive behavior. Awaken to a new confidence, as forceful as the strongest, brittlest wind. Found within. Sometimes it takes courage to be who you are. Always found within.

Take a Step Back Today and Look at All the Beautiful Things You Have

We seldom appreciate were we are. Instead, we’re often focused on what’s next: the next meeting, the next to-do, the next goal, the next challenge. While forward movement is both natural and necessary, it’s equally important to pause and appreciate where we already are, what we already accomplished.

When was the last time you stopped, took everything in and savoured the moment? The beauty in simply being. The smell of fresh rain, the warmth of sunlight on your face, or the laughter of a loved one. These moments are fleeting, but they are powerful reminders that beauty is often found in the simplest things, in the stillness between it all. If you can’t even appreciate these little things how do you think you will ever appreciate the grander things? You will always be looking for more.

Taking a step back to notice and appreciate these small details of life helps us realise that joy is always within reach. It reminds us that even on the hardest days, there’s something to be grateful for.

Take a moment to breathe deeply. Look around you. What do you see that brings you a sense of calm or happiness?

It’s important that you have goals and dreams, but don’t be so focused on what you haven’t achieved that you forget to celebrate how far you’ve come. Rather, contemplate the progress you’ve made, and the things you’ve accomplished, no matter how small they seem.

Whether it’s a career milestone, a personal goal, or simply making it through a tough week, each step forward is worth recognising. Your resilience, dedication, and growth are beautiful in their own right. It’s important to take pride in your journey and acknowledge the strength it has taken to get to where you are today.

Finally, appreciate yourself— your experiences, and the unique path you’re walking. No one else has lived exactly as you have. Everything you have experienced thus far has shaped you into the person you are today. And that in itself is something worth being thankful for.

When you step back and reflect, you realise that life isn’t just about the end goals or the milestones. It’s about the journey, the growth you’ve made, and the moments of simplistic magic along the way. Sometimes we forget that we are part of that beauty.

The moment you stop chasing the next thing, you often realise that what you already have is more than enough. You already have and are everything you will ever need.

Look around and take it all in. The beauty is already there, waiting to be noticed.

How Daily Actions Shape Your Life

Ever since I read the book Atomic Habits by James Clear I’ve been obsessed with incorporating small daily habits into my life. Whether it’s listening to Italian every day, walking 10.000 steps, writing 500+ words, meditating or practising EFT tapping, I’ve noticed that the more consistent I am the easier it’s to continue. Now it does not require any effort to wake up in the morning to meditate. I don’t need to force myself; my mind has become so accustomed to it, that it wants to do it.

You see, life is not built overnight; it’s created through the power of consistent small, daily habits. Whether it’s improving your health, boosting productivity, learning a new skill or cultivating a positive mindset, daily habits have the potential to transform your life in beautiful ways. We often aim for big results, but it’s the small actions, done consistently, that truly make a difference over time.

Let’s explore how and why small, consistent habits are so powerful, and how you can harness them to create lasting change in your life.

Why Small Habits Matter

  1. Compound Effect
One of the most significant reasons small habits are effective is because of the compound effect. Repetitive actions compound over time to create significant results. Reading 10 pages a day might not seem much, but in a year, that’s over 3,600 pages! Whether it’s a short walk, a few minutes of mindfulness, or a single act of kindness, these tiny actions, when repeated on a daily basis, lead to noticeable transformation.
  2. Sustainability
Small habits are easier to maintain because they don’t feel overwhelming. When we try to make drastic and dramatic changes, like hitting the gym for two hours a day after months of inactivity, then we’ll most likely burn out very quickly. Small, manageable actions—like doing a 15-20 minutes workout every morning is far more sustainable. Over time, this small habit become ingrained in your routine, requiring less mental effort.
  3. Psychological Momentum
Completing small tasks creates a sense of accomplishment and momentum. This psychological boost moves you forward, making you more likely to stick to your goals. There lies a significant satisfaction in ticking something off your to-do list, no matter how small, and it reinforces your commitment to keep going.
  4. Lowering Resistance
When we set big goals, our brain often resists due to the size and scope of the task. However, small habits lower this resistance. Writing a book might seem daunting, but writing one paragraph a day or maybe even 500 words? That’s manageable. Over time, these daily habits add up, and what once felt impossible becomes achievable.

How to Build Consistent Small Habits

  1. Start Tiny
The key to success is to start so small that you can’t fail. If you want to start exercising, don’t aim for a 30-minute workout right away. Instead, begin with just five minutes of movement. If you want to meditate, start with two minutes instead of 20. The goal is to make it so easy that you can’t say no.
  2. Use Habit Stacking
Habit stacking is a technique where you attach a new habit to an existing one. For example, if you want to build a reading habit, you could stack it onto your morning coffee routine. Every time you drink your coffee, you read for 5 minutes. Since the first habit is already ingrained, the new one has a better chance of sticking. Try it!
  3. Be Consistent, Not Perfect
The goal is to be consistent, not perfect. If you miss a day, don’t let it derail you. Perfectionism is the enemy of progress. Even if you only meditate for one minute or walk for 10 minutes, it’s still better than skipping it entirely. What matters is that you show up.
  4. Track Your Progress
Tracking your habits can be a great motivator. Whether you use a journal or a habit-tracking app, seeing your progress visually can reinforce your efforts. The simple act of marking a habit as ”done” triggers a sense of accomplishment and encourages you to keep going.

Examples of Powerful Small Habits

Here are some simple habits that, when practiced daily, can bring about significant change:

  • Health: Drink a glass of water upon waking up.
  • Fitness: Do 10 minutes of stretching or a short walk.
  • Mental Health: Write down one thing you’re grateful for each day. Spend time in nature for 15 minutes.
  • Learning: Read 10 pages of a book each day or listen to an educational podcast for 15 minutes.
  • Mindfulness: Take 2 minutes to focus on deep breathing or meditate.

Each of these habits is easy to incorporate into your daily routine and will most likely lead to bigger, positive changes over time.

But why are small, consistent habits so magical? The magic lies in their long-term impact. When you commit to tiny actions every day, they become part of your identity. You’re not just someone who reads occasionally—you’re a reader. You’re not someone who tries to exercise—you’re an active person. You’re not just someone who wants to learn a language— you’re a student. Small habits shift your self-perception and shape your reality.

In the end, it’s about taking small steps in the right direction consistently. Every small habit contributes to the larger picture of who you are becoming.

These consistent small habits may not feel significant in the moment, but over time, they are the base of personal growth and fulfilment. By starting small and staying consistent, you can transform your life one day at a time.

So, what small habit will you start today?
