Soft habits to come back to yourself

At times, the outside world can make us feel a little uneasy, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Everywhere we turn, there’s noise, opinions and endless stimulation. There’s always something to react to, absorb, or be affected by—sometimes without us even realising it. And sure, all of this external input can be inspiring. It can spark ideas or fuel our creativity. But it can also become too much. There are moments when we don’t recognise the sound of our own voice, because it has been buried beneath the volume of everything coming from the outside. In those moments, it’s vital to take a step back and to reconnect with our own voice. To return to our own intuition. Most of the time, the answers we’re looking for aren’t out there—they’re within us. But to access that inner wisdom, we need space. We need peace. We need stillness. That’s where soft habits come in. These gentle, grounding rituals that can help us return to ourselves. Here are a few of my personal favorites—habits I come back to when I need to …

Allow yourself to blossom

Part 1; ”I am allowed to blossom.” ”You are allowed to take up space just by being you, by simply existing. ” Not striving, not performing , simply allowing. Blossoming not because you should, but because it’s in your nature. Observe nature right now, how she is stunningly herself, not asking for permission to bloom – she just is. You do not need to earn your worthiness. There’s nothing to prove, just a quiet, soft confidence, not loud or forced, but grounded in something ancient and true. Like a garden early summer – sun-warmed, lush, quietly alive. There’s nothing to hold back, nothing to be rushed, a simple reminder that your are unfolding. Allow yourself to move with the colorful flowers, the lush trees, the spellbound waters. Everything which you are a part of. Maybe you have dimmed parts of yourself. Maybe you softened your brightness so others wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Maybe you stayed small in moments where you longed to express yourself. But all of this time there was this soft, gentle inner voice …

A soft confidence

Soft confidence. A confidence that doesn’t shout or demand validation. It resides deep within: a quiet knowing, trust in oneself, eager to follow one’s inner wisdom, even when the world pulls in different directions. Here’s how to begin building that kind of soft inner strength. 1. Start by welcoming stillness Soft confidence begins in stillness. It’s difficult to hear your intuition when you’re constantly distracted by the noise of the outside world. Make space in your life for silence—whether that’s through meditation, walks in nature, journaling, or simply sitting without a screen. Stillness isn’t empty. It’s full of answers. When you slow down, you start to hear the whispers of your inner wisdom. You begin to notice what feels aligned and what feels off. That’s your truth speaking. Listen. 2. Learn the sound of your intuition Very seldom you’ll hear your intuition shouting. It’s a quiet nudge, a gut feeling, a soft but persistent pull in a certain direction. Learning to recognise it takes practice. Patience. Begin by noticing how your body responds to different …

The moment in-between

The space most of us rush past. Ignore. Not the beginning. No the end.Just the middle. The pause. The moment in-between. It’s the quiet after all is done, but before the next flood of inspiration hits again. The space between one thing and the next. The refreshing exhale before something new begins. But we choose to fill it.With noise. With scrolling. With productivity. This constant urge to go go go. Stillness can feel like discomfort.Boredom can feel like ”I am boring”. Silence can be frightening. Empty. But what if you just started to listen? What if those in-between moments —are the places where you can finally hear yourself breathe? The pause where you feel your energy move through your body. The silent spaciousness where you rememberyou don’t have to become anything to already be worthy. This is not the absence of life.This is life. You are life. Unperformed. Unedited. Undistracted. Peaceful. What if you let yourself pause? Be in the slowness.Be in the quiet.Just be. Be. Stay in the now — even when it’s not exciting. Let yourself: There is wisdom in the pause, clarity …

Your body – the home you carry everywhere

Your body; the one place you’ll live in for your entire life, no matter where you go, what you achieve, or how much your circumstances change it will always be with you as long as you breathe. It is the temple that holds your thoughts, your emotions, your stories; the only home your soul has known in this lifetime. And still, how often do we forget to care for it the same way we would a precious house or sacred space? Before you knew language, you knew sensations such as touch, scent, sight, sound and taste. From day one your body has been communicating with you. Every cell of your body holds information. Have you ever taken the time to listen? Like any home, your loving body requires maintenance — it feeds on rest, nourishment, movement, and compassion. It needs to be listened to when something isn’t working quite right, and appreciated for all the wonderful things it allows you to do each day: breathing, walking, creating, loving, laughing. Living. However, many of us choose …

Part 2; The Season of Receiving

I allow magic to enter my life. After the season of creating space comes a different kind of stillness — not the stillness of letting go, but the stillness of receiving. Now that space has been made, there is room for grace to enter. Room for the gentle, the unexpected, the deeply aligned. But this season asks for a different kind of strength — one that doesn’t grasp or demand, but waits with trust. It’s a quiet courage: there is no rush to fill the silence. But to let the soil remain untouched a little longer. To let the garden grow in its own rhythm. You are not behind. You are not late. You are not lost. You are becoming fluent in a new language: receptivity. Let this be a time where you say yes only when your whole body lights up in response. Where you welcome softness not as a luxury, but as a necessity. Where you let yourself be surprised by what comes — because you no longer need to control it to feel safe. This is …

In-between seasons

It’s that time of the year when the body is slowly easing into the warmer and lighter days. Almost feels like nature all of a sudden decided to go from winter to spring. Yesterday’s darkness transforming into pure sunlight. I love the in-between moments, when the winds of change stir, but the horizon remains unclear. You smell possibilities, lingering in the air. Be it nature waking up from her slumber, or your own life unfolding in a new direction; these are the moments when a new curiosity begins to bloom. The uncertainty is often filled with questions; What is to come? Will everything be alright? Even when things are likely to be alright, our minds can still cast shadows of doubt. As surely as flowers find their time to bloom, your path will open as it’s meant to. Just look back at previous moments in your life, when everything turned out well, or better than expected. At times, our only job is to trust. These so-called ”waiting periods” can easily be regarded as boring, it’s …

What Ballet Has Taught Me: Starting in My 40s

Ballet est l’amour. I never imagined I would start ballet in my early 40s. Ballet belonged to another world—one of childhood dreams and youthful flexibility, of effortless grace and lifelong training. Yes, my teenage years were largely spent doing gymnastics, which undoubtedly provided me with a strong foundation. But something inside me whispered: Why not ballet, and why not now? At first, I discovered ballet through watching YouTube classes online, but eventually, I decided to step into a studio for the first time, feeling both excited and a little absurd – Ain’t I’m too old for this?! I was a beginner among beginners, and yet, I felt at peace. Ballet has been one of the greatest gifts I have ever given myself. It is not only the movement—It is a language of its own, a conversation between the body and the soul—spoken in French, a language I must admit I do not speak, at all. But I do speak love, and ballet, after all, is love. Every time I show up in class it teaches …

E-book: Relax, my darling, unwind – A Guide to Living in the Present Moment

“Relax, my darling, unwind. You are coming home, to yourself.” The present moment – the only moment that matters, the only moment that exists. We humans are very good at preparing to live, but not very good a living. Habitually dwelling in the past and dreaming of the unknown future, while having difficulties concentrating the mind on the present moment. In a world that constantly pushes us to do more, be more, and achieve more, the idea of slowing down can feel counterintuitive. Our society glorifies busyness, and productivity is often equated with success, and that crucial rest is mistaken for laziness. But what if the true essence of a fruitful life isn’t in the rush, but in the still, quiet moment in-between? What if joy, clarity, and contentment are found not in doing more but in being present?
