Dear October…

… there’s no June without you.  ”The silent hour of night, and my heart suddenly arise, caressing my awaken sight, while awaiting life, with blissful eyes.” As October settles into the world, there’s a quiet shift in the air, a subtle invitation to slow down. To breathe deeper. The days grow shorter, and the crispness of autumn brushes the mornings. Leaves, still clinging to their branches, contemplating their fall before letting go. In this transition, mindfulness comes easily. You begin to notice the small things, the vital things. And with each breath, there’s a grounding, an awareness of the moment. The air cool, but gentle. The sky stretches wide and open, its light softening, casting a golden glow over everything it touches. October feels like a month of pause, a reminder to be present, to notice the earth preparing for its quiet rest. It’s a season that whispers to us to be still, to watch the world change around us, and to feel the beauty in simply being. ………………………….. This October is all about harnessing the talents within. …

Take a Step Back Today and Look at All the Beautiful Things You Have

We seldom appreciate were we are. Instead, we’re often focused on what’s next: the next meeting, the next to-do, the next goal, the next challenge. While forward movement is both natural and necessary, it’s equally important to pause and appreciate where we already are, what we already accomplished. When was the last time you stopped, took everything in and savoured the moment? The beauty in simply being. The smell of fresh rain, the warmth of sunlight on your face, or the laughter of a loved one. These moments are fleeting, but they are powerful reminders that beauty is often found in the simplest things, in the stillness between it all. If you can’t even appreciate these little things how do you think you will ever appreciate the grander things? You will always be looking for more. Taking a step back to notice and appreciate these small details of life helps us realise that joy is always within reach. It reminds us that even on the hardest days, there’s something to be grateful for. Take a …

A child-like wonder

At times it’s easy to lose touch with the simple pleasures of life. However, don’t let the stresses of grown-up life overshadow the child-like wonder that resides within you. Nurturing your curiosity and awe can bring immense joy and positivity into your life. Children possess an innate ability to find wonder in the smallest of things—the beauty of a butterfly, the sound of raindrops, or the taste of a favourite treat. As we grow older, such moments of enchantment can become scarce, but know, they are not lost forever. By consciously cultivating a child-like wonder, you can rekindle the joy that comes from experiencing the world with fresh eyes. One way to tap into your inner child-like wonder is to slow down and allow yourself to be present in the moment. Children are experts at immersing themselves fully in whatever they are doing, whether it’s playing with toys, exploring nature, or engaging in some kind of imaginative play. As adults, we can learn from this by setting aside time to engage in activities that spark …

5 ways to be more present

”Watch the seasons unfolding.” Introducing more presence to your day-today life has many benefits to your overall wellbeing, however, you don’t have to turn into a meditation guru in order to become more mindful. There are several ways by which you can invite stillness, and thereby welcome a more conscious awareness to your daily life. James Baraz puts it very nicely: ”Mindfulness is simply being aware of what is happening right now without wishing it were different; enjoying the pleasant without holding on when it changes (which it will); being with the unpleasant without fearing it will always be this way (which it won’t).” Below you’ll find five ways that might help you breathe a bit slower. – walk in nature – ”trust the seasons changing, trust your inner voice; it knows.” There’s a special thing being one with nature, whether it’s watching the ocean, smelling the forest, hiking in the autumn mountains, taking a midnight swim or laughing up in the air. Nature has a tendency to teach us plenty; she teaches us how …

Dear December…

… you set my soul on fire. ”With the moon and with the stars, how can we say we don’t have enough?” The silent hour of night, and my heart suddenly arise. Caressing my awaken sight, while awaiting life, with blissful eyes. Watching snowflakes quietly at rest, the moon, shining its light upon us. 50 shades of snow, wherever we choose to go. Darling December, the way you transform the darkness at 4 am. The world still, sky black, mind intense. Emotions wide awake, heart half asleep, in a blissful lullaby sleep. I hope your dreams are sweet.  December is for love and laughter. Peace and joy. The bright-pink sky with heart-shaped clouds, peacefully passing by. It’s for warm-hearted gestures, compassion and loving-kindness. Snowflakes dancing outside our window, making every moment irresistible. Gifts wrapped up in affection, kindness and hope. It’s December, you can wish for anything. What will you wish for? This December is all about giving more of yourself. Give your time, your attention. Your love and laughter. It’s about awareness, tenderness. Blissfulness. Music filled …

Small daily habits to improve your life

”Ask yourself; Does this support my innermost being?” While being perfect is rather boring, we should instead strive to be a bit more willing to be the best version of ourselves. A version that will change from day to day, from hour to hour even. Some days we learn, some days we win. However, we don’t stop when the mountain gets too high or the sea too rough. Rather, we adjust. We may scream a little (or a lot), we may laugh at our foolishness. But we continue, we adapt. And that’s how we evolve. ”Fragile you are, little seed. Planted in the depths of thick, dark, nourishing soil. Resilient you are, blooming flower. Early spring.” l.m.v I strongly believe it’s the small daily habits that encompass the greatest value on our overall wellbeing. Like waking up early dawn, knowing it’s time to make yourself a freshly brewed cup of coffee. The smell and sound of coffee beans grinding. The taste of creamy oat milk, nicely poured on top of a hot, steamy cup of …

Ways to be more mindful

”Be aware; make a move, take a stand, take a chance. Embrace and work with what is.” Every moment, peacefully passing by. What happens now, in this moment, guides us into the next. Pay attention to your surroundings, as well as your inner state, as it nourishes greater awareness, clarity and acceptance of what is. Don’t miss out on life, don’t miss out on what is of greatest value. Growth and transformation happen the moment you realize the richness and the depth of your potentialities. As every moment peacefully evolves, so are you.  How to become more mindful? How to become more acceptant of what is? There are several methods helping us to cultivate a more intimate relationship with the present moment, ways for us to achieve serenity. Peace of mind. Below you’ll find some of my favourites. Tranquility speaks ”Listen to the whispers of your soul.” 4.30 am. I forgot how peaceful it is to wake up at dawn. Complete darkness surrounding me, however, the light within keeping me safe. The early hours present …

Dear April…

… you got my feelings playing butterflies. ”April darling, nature must be head over heels for you, the way she blossoms when you arrive.” Animals and humans awaken from the darkest of night. From the deep, deep slumber we all return to light. The bright golden sunrise, burning through our windows. Caressing our cheeks, awakening our hearts. Dreaming of doing everything in life, and nothing on rainy Sundays. Watching captivating sunsets, and counting countless numbers of stars. Happily having you, blooming in my arms. April is for getting lost in translation. Being curious and bold. Breathing in lust, breathing out fear. Breathe me in like air. It’s about a new earth, hope, and letting go. Soft raindrops against the window, purifying dark winter souls. Touch me without the hand, with the mind, undress me with the eye, baby darling be aware, those feelings will be playing butterflies. April is for being affectionate, playful and passionate. Confident, happy and alive. Stop looking for it on the outside, when it’s already resting within, patiently awaiting for you …

Let the silence speak to you

”In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.” – Deepak Chopra In this moment you can find suffering or meaning, fear or curiosity. You can choose to see the world through the eyes of hate, or you can let love be the guiding force. Clarity might not always be found through the intellect, but experienced in stillness. Quiet down, and the more you’re able to hear. Some might fear the stillness, simply because they’re not used to it. What to do with it? Complete silence, except the sound of the heartbeat. Rising. Thoughts popping up. Do something, don’t just sit there. Wasting your time. Becoming aware of the breath. In. Out. In. Out. Feeling calmer. Lighter. Sensing the energy in the hands. Alive. I’m alive. The present moment – the only moment where there is freedom from the past, from the conditioned mind. You’re simply here, realising there is nowhere else to be. But here. ”To a mind that is still, a whole universe surrenders.” – Lao Tzu To become aware …
