Dear February…

… let’s be brave enough to speak up about the things important to us. ”It’s in the things that deeply inspires us that we find ourselves.” During the darkest of hours, a frost-kissed morning, my first screaming breath, with you. Cupid’s arrows, in the air they flew, as everyone below a starlit sky knew. Valentine’s whispers, sweet, dark and true, in February, love is set anew. Snowflakes fell, like delicate lace, covering our world in a soft embrace. Yet hints of spring began to appear, a promise of warmth, curiously near. Amidst the cold, a comfort profound, February’s wisdom, all around. February is for evolving, getting one year richer. One year wiser. Staying curious, and open-minded. Finding joy and laughter, everything we sought after. It’s about speaking up, being true to our own unique voices. It’s time to stop being afraid of getting older – it’s time to show our deepest appreciation instead. Becoming curious enough to want to know more about ourselves, and the ways in which we can expand. There’s much to discover …

How to embrace slow living in your everyday life

”A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear.” The present moment – the only moment there is for us to be alive. Humans are very good at preparing to live, but not very good a living. Habitually dwelling in the past and dreaming of the future, while having difficulties concentrating the mind on the present moment. The concept of slow living has never been more relevant. As we navigate the fast-paced currents of 2024, the slow living movement urges us to pause, breathe, and savour the simple joys of life. Slow living is about creating time, space and energy for the things that matter most to us in life. It’s about taking the time to do things properly, and thereby enjoy them more. Allowing ourselves to be fully present. I think it was Socrates who said: ”The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.” There are of course many mindsets one can incorporate in order to embrace a slower kind of …

How to set healthy boundaries

In order to build your own personal and emotional space you need to know how to set and communicate healthy boundaries. It’s essential to establish and communicate personal boundaries for our mental and emotional wellbeing, and sometimes even our safety. But why can communicating boundaries be so darn difficult at times? And how do we set compassionate boundaries within our relationships? I believe it’s rather common to fall into a victim mindset once you realise you’ve put other people’s needs above your own. You start blaming yourself for not knowing better. However, this attitude won’t help you evolve. In other words, it can in fact be detrimental for your growth. Therefore, although easier said than done, try not to fall into a negative, victim mindset. Instead, recognize it as an opportunity to take your power back. The focus should be on learning and growing. Healthy boundaries – Compassion towards self. Why can setting and communicating boundaries be so challenging at times? There may be various reasons for this, and it depends of course on the person, or …

5 habits to improve your life

”Now is the perfect time to start imagining all that you can do.” It’s never too late to implement fresh, new habits to your day-to-day routine. If you’re looking for a mini life-makeover, then, first things first, you need to start from within. In other words, start with your mental state, since most often it’s the root to all problems. Ten traits of successful humans

”We rise by lifting others.” When nothing is certain, anything is possible. My personal opinion when it comes to success is that I believe successful people are those who are living their passion, following their dreams and pursuing their goals in life – even though, at times, the path might be uncertain. Even though the path is dark, their inner light will always guide them.  It’s rather common to talk about what we want in life; we write about it, and we dream about it. You might discover a new coffee shop, an antique shop you haven’t yet visited, or simply enjoy the beautiful architecture. Take a course. …

Create your reality

”Ask yourself if what you do today is moving you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.” Your future is created by being present in the moment. Your future is not created then, somewhere in the unforeseen tomorrow, it’s created now. It’s highly determined by your daily actions, thoughts and habits. By being present with yourself you allow yourself to expand and transform into the highest version of yourself. You accept that where you are right now is exactly where you need to be, right now. It doesn’t have to take 3, 5 or 10 years for you to become the highest version of yourself. However, what it does take is for you to put in consistent effort. Dreams usually do not happen over night, but the decision to change can happen in a blink of an eye. Don’t postpone your future just because you’re being lazy or afraid in the moment. See the fear for what it is; fear of the unknown, fear of what’s to come, fear of not being good enough, …
