Ending the Year on a Good Note: How to Close the Year with Intention and Purpose

The year is coming to an end, and it’s a beautiful time to take a moment to reflect on the past months. Ending the year on a positive, intentional note can give you a satisfying sense of closure and help lay the groundwork for a fresh start. Here are some ways to finish your year feeling grounded, accomplished, and ready for what’s to come. 1. Reflect on Your Accomplishments It’s easy to focus on all that we haven’t yet done, as well as the things that didn’t go as planned. However, take a moment to remember all that you’ve accomplished, all the highlights. Consider the moments you’re proud of, however big or small. Did you build new habits, break bad habits, nurture relationships, learn new skills, or take steps toward a goal? Writing down these wins can be empowering and can help you recognise just how much you actually have achieved. Tip: Make a list of three to five accomplishments that make you feel proud, and keep it somewhere you can see. They don’t have …

Dear October…

… there’s no June without you.  ”The silent hour of night, and my heart suddenly arise, caressing my awaken sight, while awaiting life, with blissful eyes.” As October settles into the world, there’s a quiet shift in the air, a subtle invitation to slow down. To breathe deeper. The days grow shorter, and the crispness of autumn brushes the mornings. Leaves, still clinging to their branches, contemplating their fall before letting go. In this transition, mindfulness comes easily. You begin to notice the small things, the vital things. And with each breath, there’s a grounding, an awareness of the moment. The air cool, but gentle. The sky stretches wide and open, its light softening, casting a golden glow over everything it touches. October feels like a month of pause, a reminder to be present, to notice the earth preparing for its quiet rest. It’s a season that whispers to us to be still, to watch the world change around us, and to feel the beauty in simply being. ………………………….. This October is all about harnessing the talents within. …

Take a Step Back Today and Look at All the Beautiful Things You Have

We seldom appreciate were we are. Instead, we’re often focused on what’s next: the next meeting, the next to-do, the next goal, the next challenge. While forward movement is both natural and necessary, it’s equally important to pause and appreciate where we already are, what we already accomplished. When was the last time you stopped, took everything in and savoured the moment? The beauty in simply being. The smell of fresh rain, the warmth of sunlight on your face, or the laughter of a loved one. These moments are fleeting, but they are powerful reminders that beauty is often found in the simplest things, in the stillness between it all. If you can’t even appreciate these little things how do you think you will ever appreciate the grander things? You will always be looking for more. Taking a step back to notice and appreciate these small details of life helps us realise that joy is always within reach. It reminds us that even on the hardest days, there’s something to be grateful for. Take a …

Allow Yourself to Shine Without the Desire to Be Seen

In a world driven by visibility, where success is often measured in likes, views, and followers, it’s all too easy to become entangled in the yearning to be noticed. Social media and societal expectations gently steer us toward seeking approval, urging us to crave recognition for our accomplishments, talents, and even the smallest details of our daily mundane lives. Yet, there is profound strength in embracing your own light, in daring to shine without the need for applause, without the hunger to be seen. When you shine for yourself, you tap into the essence of who you are. It’s not about being recognised or seeking approval, but instead fulfilling your purpose and living in alignment with your own values, regardless of whether anyone else is watching. In fact, when the need to be seen is removed from the equation, you become free to pursue your passions and dreams from a place of genuine love and curiosity, rather than external expectations. Shining authentically means embracing your gifts and expressing them fully, not for recognition, but for …

It’s Time To Step Into Your Power

My biggest struggle in life has been allowing myself to step into my power. But, eventually there comes a pivotal moment, when one realises that one has been living below one’s potential. From an early age I was playing small, dimming my light, and more often than not doubting my abilities. This realization can be both daunting and liberating. However, it was the moment when I decided to step into my power. Although the steps are small, they are moving me closer and closer towards my power, one step a time. But what does it mean to step into your power? If you ask me, then I would say that it’s all about fully embracing who you are and what you are capable of. It’s about recognizing your strengths, acknowledging your worth, and having the courage to live authentically. Generally this process involves shedding the limitations you’ve placed on yourself—whether from fear, societal expectations, or self-doubt—and stepping boldly into the life you were meant to lead. The first step – Self-Awareness The first step in …

The importance of staying true to yourself

In a world that constantly tells us who to be, what to wear, how to think, and what to aspire to, staying true to yourself can feel like a radical act of rebellion. Yet, it’s the most fulfilling path to inner contentment and genuine connections. ”Embrace who you are at your core and let it shine forth in every aspect of your life.” But what does it mean being authentic? Authenticity means being honest with yourself and others about who you are, what you believe, and how you feel. It’s about aligning your actions with your values and allowing your true self to be seen, even when it’s uncomfortable or inconvenient. First Step: Self-Reflection Authenticity begins with self-reflection. Take time to understand your values, passions, strengths, and weaknesses. Journaling can be a powerful tool for this. For example you can begin to ask yourself questions like: Being Perfectly Imperfect Trying to be perfect will only move you further away from your authenticity. Instead, try to embrace your imperfections and vulnerabilities, and see how it will …

Why you need to step outside your comfort zone

Have you ever felt the urge to try something new but hesitated, thinking it might be too challenging or uncomfortable? You’re not alone. This comfort zone of ours is a familiar, safe space where we feel in control and where nothing can ever threaten us. However, while it’s a cosy place to be, it’s also where you become stagnant. Stepping outside this comfy zone can help you find new opportunities and ways to develop. And what is more, you get to know yourself at a deeper level. Staying within your comfort zone can be detrimental in the long run, since there will be no room for you to grow; When you stick to what you know, you miss out on learning new skills and gaining new experiences. What is more, you might miss out on opportunities, since great opportunities often lie beyond the borders of your comfort zone. And lastly, over time, not challenging yourself can lead to a sense of stagnation and dissatisfaction. What are the benefits of stepping outside your comfort zone? First …

Take your power back

Lately I’ve been noticing how much focus I’ve been putting on the external world. Like if something good happens then I can be happy, and not the other way around; I am happy -> I notice all the good already in my life, or good things come to me. Sometimes I find myself struggling with being happy when nothing fun and exciting is happening. I have been dependent on the outside world to be a certain way in order to be fully content. Hence, now learning to shift my mindset to just being, happy and content with what is, no matter what happens. ”I am exactly where I need to be right now.” – a favorite mantra of mine. Effortlessly existing without the need to chase anything. What is meant for us will come to us, as long as we stay open and take aligned action. However, being patient, is not my strength. Always wanting things to happen now, or even better, yesterday… But I’ve noticed that when I’m consistent with my daily habits I …

Mindsets for growth

A healthy mind is a loving mind; towards the self as well as others. As life is constantly moving forward, moment by moment, we too need to learn how to best adapt to the circumstances and changes happening both within and without. Below you will find a few powerful mindsets to adapt in your day-to-day life to make it more prosperous and rewarding. An abundance mindset – growth mindset ”There is enough for everybody’s need, but not for everybody’s greed”. – Mahatma Gandhi There is plenty for everyone to go around. There is no lack in this universe; it’s simply a belief that you have been telling yourself all these years. Honor other people’s successes, be genuinely happy for people living their best lives. If another person succeeds, it doesn’t mean that there will be less for you. Instead, regard it as a source of inspiration. Just look at nature – she’s filled with beauty. Just look at the sky – it’s filled with endless possibilities. Just feel the earth – it’s filled with comfort. …
