My brain is overstimulated. Over heated. Maybe it’s due to the ongoing heatwave, or simply cause of the constant stream of information that is flooding my external environment. It’s like my brain is screaming ”Enough!” I don’t want to see any more irrelevant updates from strangers, what they are eating, what their kids are eating, what they are thinking, where they are vacationing. My brain does not have space for it all. It barely has space for my own whereabouts. I want to hear my own thoughts. I want to feel my own breath. And don’t get me wrong. Inspiration arising from the external world can be golden; like the way the sun lights up the room early morning, the sound of leaves in the wind, your favourite song, a stranger’s laughter. We decide where to direct our attention – The things we find beautiful, the things that light us up. The things that gently speak to us.
