Dear February…

… let’s be brave enough to speak up about the things important to us.

”It’s in the things that deeply inspires us that we find ourselves.”

During the darkest of hours, a frost-kissed morning, my first screaming breath, with you. Cupid’s arrows, in the air they flew, as everyone below a starlit sky knew. Valentine’s whispers, sweet, dark and true, in February, love is set anew. Snowflakes fell, like delicate lace, covering our world in a soft embrace. Yet hints of spring began to appear, a promise of warmth, curiously near. Amidst the cold, a comfort profound, February’s wisdom, all around.

February is for evolving, getting one year richer. One year wiser. Staying curious, and open-minded. Finding joy and laughter, everything we sought after. It’s about speaking up, being true to our own unique voices. It’s time to stop being afraid of getting older – it’s time to show our deepest appreciation instead. Becoming curious enough to want to know more about ourselves, and the ways in which we can expand.

There’s much to discover and learn about life, about ourselves, as well as the people around us. Spending precious, slow time alone, gaining a better understanding of who we are, and what we desire out of life. Everything we’ve been through has taken us to this moment. All the decisions we’ve made, all the countries we’ve seen, all the hearts we’ve touched, all the jobs we’ve had, all the times we’ve struggled, and all the lessons we’ve learned – shaping us into the beings we are, into the beings we’re yet to become.

Dear February, with you I’ve become to appreciate the beauty of aging. Awakening to the delicacy of yet another unwritten page.

How to embrace slow living in your everyday life

”A quiet mind is able to hear intuition over fear.”

The present moment – the only moment there is for us to be alive. Humans are very good at preparing to live, but not very good a living. Habitually dwelling in the past and dreaming of the future, while having difficulties concentrating the mind on the present moment.

The concept of slow living has never been more relevant. As we navigate the fast-paced currents of 2024, the slow living movement urges us to pause, breathe, and savour the simple joys of life.

Slow living is about creating time, space and energy for the things that matter most to us in life. It’s about taking the time to do things properly, and thereby enjoy them more. Allowing ourselves to be fully present.

I think it was Socrates who said:

”The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less.”

There are of course many mindsets one can incorporate in order to embrace a slower kind of living. Here are just a few of my favourites at the moment. I hope you’ll find enjoyment in them as well.

Less screen-time

Slow living invites us to unplug from the digital noise, to embrace moments of silence, and to be present in the real world. This conscious disconnection allows for genuine connections with others and with our own thoughts. It’s very difficult to hear oneself when the mind is constantly caught up in the outside world. If we never take the time to just sit with ourselves, we won’t hear the silent, important whispers from the soul.

More often than not this fast paced society triggers feelings such as worry, anxiety and stress. We constantly feel the pressure to have more, do more, be more. Never being satisfied, and continually seeking instant gratifications. Forgetting all about how to breathe, losing sight of the moments in-between.

When seeking stillness you allow your brain to go beyond thought. You might for example struggle with a challenging task, and seek more intelligent ideas on how to proceed – when you allow your brain to unwind, and ”turn off”, hence getting rid of all the pressure, you allow your creativity to come alive, which in turn may lead to more creative solutions to your problem.

Nurture your relationships

Slow living prompts us to invest time and energy in meaningful relationships. Whether it’s spending quality time with family or enjoying a face-to-face conversation with a friend, prioritizing relationships contributes to a sense of fulfilment and belonging.

When it comes to relationships you have the opportunity to be both the teacher, and the student. Therefore, start practising slow living when interacting with other people. What can you teach each other? In what way can you serve one another? How can you both benefit from the interaction? Start by listening without judgment. Listen to understand, not simply to respond.

Find balance

Balancing work and personal life can be a real struggle, however, the concept of slow living emphasizes the importance of creating boundaries. Redefine what success means to you, focus not only on professional achievements but also on personal growth, well-being, and peace.

Embrace the here and now

Perhaps the most significant lesson from the slow living philosophy is the importance of embracing the present moment. In a world that constantly pushes us to plan for the future, slow living teaches us that life is happening right now. By being fully present in our daily experiences, we can cultivate gratitude and find joy in the seemingly ordinary, yet profound moments.

With this being said, I strongly believe we all can benefit from introducing the concept of  slow living into our hectic lives. Not only for the sake of our own wellbeing, but in the interest of gaining a deeper connection within our relationships.

The Power of Finding Your ”Why”

It’s easy to get caught up in the ”what” and ”how” of our actions. We set goals, make plans, and follow routines without always pausing to consider the most vital aspect: our ”why.”

Why do you do what you do? What is the driving force behind your actions and decisions?

Finding your ”why” is like discovering the compass that guides you through the journey of life. It’s your innermost motivation, the purpose that moves you forward in challenging times and keeps you grounded during successful moments.

A clear purpose

Understanding your ”why” provides clarity in your purpose. It gives you a deeper insight into your passions, values, and beliefs, helping you align your actions with your innermost self. When you know why you do what you do, every decision becomes intentional, and every step takes you closer to a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Motivation during Challenges

Life is filled with setbacks and road bumps. And it’s during these challenging times that knowing your ”why” becomes a powerful source of motivation. Whether you’re facing a career crisis, personal struggles, or pursuing a huge life goal, your purpose acts as a driving force. It becomes the one thing that helps you move forward, even when the path is messy and the destination distant.

Inspiring Others

Your ”why” also has the potential to inspire and influence those around you. When people witness someone living truthfully, and driven by a clear purpose, it sparks a ripple effect. It may encourage others to reflect on their own motivations, and guiding actions that is more aligned with shared values and ambitions.

A Continuous Journey

Discovering your ”why” is a continuous journey of self-discovery. It requires introspection, reflection, and a willingness to evolve. As you navigate through life’s ups and downs, your ”why” may evolve, and change, guiding you through new opportunities and challenges.

With this being said, finding your ”why” can be seen as the key that unlocks your potential and fuels your motivation. So, take the time to explore your motivations, and embark on a path that is not just about reaching a destination but about embracing the richness of the journey itself.

How to Master the Art of Manifestation

What you send out into the universe – through your thoughts, feelings, words, actions – you attract into your life. Cultivating an abundant and positive mindset, visualization and intention-setting, are all great ways in order to start creating the life you want. It’s about shifting your focus, shifting your perspectives. It’s about being able to turn a negative day into a great day, simply because you choose to. Simply because you can.

Nevertheless, it’s not enough to simply think, write or speak about the things you want in life, however, it’s a vital start. What is more, you have to believe, in order to receive. If you don’t believe in yourself and all that you’re capable of, nothing much will grow out of it. What is more, you’ll have to begin to take inspired action. You actually need to take that tiny frightening first step, not knowing where it will take you.

Yes, manifestation is more than just wishful thinking; it involves aligning your thoughts, feelings, and actions with your goals to bring about positive change. Successful manifestation is not a stroke of luck; it’s a result of cultivating empowering habits that pave the way for a fulfilling and purposeful life.

Clarity of Vision

Successful manifestation begins with a clear and vivid vision of what you want to achieve. Take the time to define your goals with precision. Whether it’s a career milestone, a relationship, or personal growth, the more specific and detailed your vision, the easier it becomes to manifest.

Visualization Techniques

Visualization is a powerful tool to manifest your desires. Spend time each day picturing yourself achieving your goals. Feel the emotions associated with success as if it’s happening in the present moment. Visualization not only strengthens your belief in your abilities but also sends a powerful message to the universe about your intentions.

Keep a gratitude journal

Maintaining a gratitude journal can significantly enhance your manifestation journey. Regularly expressing gratitude for what you already have creates a positive energy flow, attracting more of what you desire. Take a few minutes each day to write down the things you are grateful for, fostering an attitude of abundance and appreciation.

Inspired Action

Manifestation isn’t a passive process; it requires consistent and intentional action. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps and commit to taking daily action toward them. Momentum builds through sustained effort, and as you make progress, you align yourself more closely with the manifestation of your dreams.

Mindfulness and Presence

Cultivate mindfulness to stay present in the moment. Often, anxieties about the future or regrets about the past can hinder manifestation. By staying focused on the present and fully engaging in your current activities, you open yourself up to opportunities and possibilities that align with your goals.

What is more, the present moment experience is the most healing state there is. Old emotions stored deep down in the body; whether it’s grief, anger, sadness or pain, need to be released out of our systems. Unprocessed emotions can show up in different forms, such as a disease, judgement towards people we don’t know, or as an addiction. They might even hold us back from that which we wish to manifest, hence keeping us stuck. Therefore, it’s of utmost importance to get to the root cause of things; what is it that are keeping you from achieving certain goals and milestones in life? With an open and compassionate heart; begin to ask yourself this question. Be patient and give yourself grace; healing requires consistent effort from your side. Know that you are not broken, and someone that needs to be fixed. You are human. You are simply being human.

You can choose to work with these manifestation techniques in many different ways, however, I believe it’s important that you find the way best suitable for you. Really take the time to figure out what you want out of life; put time aside to reflect on how you want to feel, rather than focusing on what you want.

Stay optimistic, yet realistic; there’s a fine balance between living above the clouds and staying grounded on earth. Both is needed –  of course you can tell yourself I’m a limitless human being, but let’s face it, you’ll have to become conscious of what is possible for you. Self-awareness is everything – learn about yourself; what are your specific strengths and weaknesses, and go from there. Be passionate about evolving, and about constantly learning about all things new. Those that are curious, as well as adaptable to change, usually seem to flow through life with a little more effortless ease.

Trusting Your Intuition: A Guide to Unlocking Inner Wisdom

Have you ever had a gut feeling that turned out to be spot-on? That’s your intuition at work, and learning to trust it can be a powerful tool for decision-making and navigating life’s uncertainties.

Below you’ll find some tips to help you connect with and rely on your inner wisdom.

1. Cultivate Self-Awareness: Take the time to understand yourself better. Pay attention to your thoughts and feelings, as well as reactions in different situations. Self-awareness is the first step in recognizing when your intuition is trying to communicate with you.

2. Embrace Silence and Stillness: Don’t let the external noise drown out your inner voice. Practice mindfulness and meditation to create moments of silence in your day-to-day life. This allows your intuition to rise to the surface without any interference and distractions.

3. Reflect on Past Experiences: Think about circumstances when you followed your intuition and it led you to positive outcomes. Recall those moments when your gut feeling was right. When reflecting on past experiences it helps build confidence in your intuitive abilities.

4. Distinguish Intuition from Fear: Sometimes, fear can masquerade as intuition. Learn to differentiate between the two. I’ve noticed that true intuition often feels calm and assured, while fear tends to be filled with anxiety. Trust your instincts, but be mindful of any underlying fears clouding your judgment. Look at your intuition as a best friend, who always wants what’s best for you.

5. Practice Decision-Making with Intuition: Start with small decisions. Before asking someone else for advice, tune into your intuition, and make a choice based on your initial feeling. Over time, as you see positive results, you’ll gain confidence in your ability to trust your instincts.

6. Surround Yourself with Positivity: Negative influences can cloud your intuition. Surround yourself with positive people and environments that support your personal growth. A positive, yet realistic mindset, helps in staying attuned to your inner guidance.

7. Listen to Your Body: Your body often reacts to your intuition. Notice any physical sensations when making decisions. Our bodies often speak in mysterious ways… A feeling of comfort or discomfort can be a clue from your intuition about what next action you need to take.

8. Be Patient and Open-Minded: Building trust in your intuition is a gradual process. Be patient with yourself and remain open-minded. Trusting your intuition is a journey of self-discovery that requires patience over time.

Remember, your intuition is a valuable compass that can guide you through life’s ups and downs. By cultivating trust in your inner wisdom, you empower yourself to make decisions aligned with your authentic self. Everything you need and seek is already resting within.

The flow of life

”Destruction breeds creation.”

Life is a series of natural, and spontaneous changes. To obtain peace and happiness, it’s vital that we become comfortable with everything that’s unfolding; circumstances taking place, feelings and emotions running through our bodies, as well as people dancing in and out of our lives. Change is the nature of life. It’s the nature of your being.

The only rational thing for us to do is to embrace every aspect of life – the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, the love and the fear – whatever life may present us with; shouldn’t we just dive right in, and at least try our best in line with the moment we’re in. But what if, there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so, as William Shakespeare so neatly put it.

According to the Vedas (the primary texts of Hinduism) there is no such thing as good or bad, right or wrong. There are only creation -> maintenance -> destruction. Then back to creation. Flowing like a beautiful cycle. Some time ago I listened to a podcast episode with Emily Fletcher where she talked about destruction as coming through to clean house. To not see destruction as something inherently bad, or something to avoid, but as something that is cleaning house, getting rid of the old, so that the new can enter (creation). Fletcher goes on explaining how the quality of our lives is determined by the quality of our questions. What can I innovate? What creation is coming through? How can I become more kind, more compassionate, not only to myself, but to others as well as the environment?

Asking more powerful questions is the beginning of a creative practise to envision a new world. As species we’re evolving, moving forward, and there’s no turning back. Now is the time to wake up as creators, and as innovators.

In what way will you choose to do that?

Michael A. Singer writes:

”You’re sitting on a planet spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Go ahead, take a look at reality. You’re are floating in empty space in a universe that goes on forever. If you have to be here, at least be happy and enjoy the experience. You’re going to die anyway. Things are going to happen anyway. Why shouldn’t you be happy? You gain nothing by being bothered by life’s events. It doesn’t change the world; you just suffer. There’s always going to be something that can bother you, if you let it.” (Michael A. Singer, the untethered soul)

Learning to let go of past experiences, situations, limiting beliefs and toxic emotions is a process, and it requires a great deal of patience and self-compassion, to get rid of stuff that you know, deep down inside, doesn’t serve you. However, there are a couple of mindsets that can make the process flow more effortlessly. Let me present a few of my favourites.

Allow things to unfold

”I embrace life.”

I like to think that everything in life happens for a reason; whether the reason is for you to learn more about yourself, finding your true nature, and therefore evolving as a human being. Learning how to accept, and embrace all aspects of life, might be easier said than done. I believe, this becomes more effortless the moment you stop defining yourself in relationship to the events that happen, to the struggles, to the mental chatter going on in your mind. You’re not your thoughts, you’re simply being aware of your thoughts. You’re not your emotions; you experience and feel your emotions. You’re not the events happening in your life; you experience these events – and how you choose to react to life is up to you.

Relax & release

”I let go of the situation that no longer serves me.”

The more you learn to let go of the past, and the less you worry about the future, the more mindful and relaxed you become. Try not to over-think or obsess about the things out of your control. Instead change your mindset, learn to take in the moment, and always strive to do your best with what you’ve got. Aim for bettering your self, while flowing with the creation of the now.

You don’t always have to be on top of things. Don’t resist feelings of pain, sadness, shame and failure – feelings of not being good enough. It’s totally human to feel downright sad and pessimistic from time to time. However, whatever you do, don’t inhabit this kind of negativity; be the observer, and make a conscious decision to release that which no longer serves you. Don’t let these emotions control you – you’re the one in power over your feelings. Embrace these feelings with grace and compassion; see them, value them, but don’t let them control you.

The decision lies within

I am fearless. I follow my heart.”

It’s up to you to decide if you want to be happy or not. Your happiness is not found within someone else’s hands, or some anticipated situation in the near future. Make the choice to be happy now, and you’ll notice that your path through life will become more fulfilling. How beautiful isn’t it that you have the power and ability to create the life you desire; the power lies within you. Don’t settle for average, when you have the opportunity to experience the extraordinary.

Every day take inspired action towards your dreams. Fall in love with the process of creating your life. It’s the daily, consistent steps that create the magic.

Gratitude is the attitude

”Love, abundance and happiness flow to me.”

A grateful mind is a loving mind. Always choose the grateful mind; a mind that can take you places beyond your wildest dreams. It’s easy to forget about all the beautiful things in our lives when we’re caught up in the midst of it all. Take time, every day, and stop for a while. Just stop, and breathe it all in – today won’t come again. Show appreciation to your comfy bed, the roof over your head, your job, the sun caressing your cheeks (or the rain pouring down) your family, and loved ones. There are always something to be grateful for. Life can for sure be challenging, but focusing on the bad stuff won’t make them go away. And if you choose to focus on them, focus on finding solutions to your problems. Simply nagging about things won’t bring any happiness to the situation.

With this being said, know that you possess a great deal of power over your life. For sure there are situations, and life changes that you simply don’t have control over. However, how you choose to react to these changes are completely up to you.

A Guide to Setting Monthly Intentions

In our hectic day-to-day life where the hours, days, and weeks often blur together, setting monthly intentions can serve as a compass, guiding us toward our desired destination. Intentions act as a roadmap for personal growth, providing clarity and purpose to your actions.

I’m a firm believer in writing my intentions down, preferably on a piece of paper. When it comes to intentions, you can choose to write daily, weekly, monthly and/or yearly intentions. I prefer to write my intentions in the beginning of every month, as well as set one daily intention that helps guiding me throughout the day.

For many years now I’ve been writing almost daily in my journal. Usually I write down my feelings and emotions or set a daily intention. However, lately I’ve become aware of my tendency to simply put words on a piece of paper without any deeper thought behind them. I find myself writing sentences without taking the time to reflect what they mean to me.

This I want to change. Instead of aimlessly writing things down I will choose one or two intentions, and really challenge myself to contemplate on what they represent to me.

Let’s take today’s intention as an example.

”Don’t take life too seriously.”

What does this sentence mean to me? And how can I use this intention to improve my day-to-day life?

For me this means not to be too caught up in my mind. Not over-analyzing things that are out of my control. To simply be okay with the present moment just as it is. To see obstacles and road bumps as life lessons, and to try to see the beauty in the simplest of things. Life simply is. It doesn’t demand anything from us; we are the ones demanding things from ourselves as well as others.

”There is nothing either god or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

William Shakespeare

Whenever I find myself being too caught up in my head I remind myself to not take neither my life nor myself too seriously. Sometimes it’s like my mind unconsciously creates worst-case-scenarios out of every situation. But as I’ve become aware of the mind’s tendency to do so, I nowadays catch the thoughts before they completely take over my entire being. We cannot change without awareness. We won’t hear the whispers from within if we never take the time to sit with ourselves. On a daily basis I remind myself that the power is within me. The power to evolve. The power to love. The power to create. The power to trust.

Not taking life too seriously doesn’t mean that one doesn’t care, that one doesn’t take responsibility for one’s life. On the contrary, it means that one does not dwell on the things out of their control. Making the best out of each situation, and accepting that sometime one does not have the answers – and that is okay, in fact, its’ more than okay.

With this being said, whenever you find yourself aimlessly doing something – stop for a while and question yourself; Why do I do this? Is this important to me, and why? Is this bringing me peace & joy or worry & sadness?

Don’t be afraid to have an open conversation with yourself from time to time. Be curious enough to want to get to know thyself on a more deeper level. And remember, don’t take yourself too seriously.

So, let’s move forward to the topic of today’s blog post! I’ll briefly go through the art of setting monthly intentions, and how it can positively impact different aspects of your life.

Reflect on Your Values

Before diving into setting monthly intentions, take a moment to reflect on your core values. What matters most to you in life? What do you want to prioritize this month? By aligning your intentions with your values, you create a foundation for meaningful and fulfilling goals. This will make you feel more motivated moving forward, even during those days you rather stay in bed.

Be Specific and Realistic

When you’re setting your intentions, it’s essential that you are specific and realistic. Instead of vague goals, break them down into smaller, achievable steps. Writing your steps down, will make them more tangible, and therefore easier to follow through. For example, if your intention is to prioritize self-care, consider specific actions like dedicating 20 minutes each day to mindfulness, reading for 30 minutes every evening or going for a walk three times a week.

Focus on the Positive

Frame your intentions in a positive light. Rather than saying, ”I will stop procrastinating,” rephrase it as ”I will prioritize and complete tasks promptly.” Positive intentions promote a healthier mindset and encourage a proactive approach to your goals.

Set Measurable Milestones

Track your progress by setting measurable milestones. Break down your monthly intentions into weekly or even daily goals. This not only helps you stay accountable but also allows you to celebrate small victories along the way, reinforcing positive behaviour. For example, while I’m trying to improve my Italian, I’ve decided to listen to 20 minutes Italian every day. Which is roughly 12 hours a month. I rather do a little bit every day, than a lot once a week.

Continuously Review and Adjust

Life is dynamic, therefore your circumstances most likely will change. Regularly review your intentions and be willing to adjust them based on your evolving priorities. Having a flexible approach ensures that your goals remain relevant and important to you, hence you’re more likely to achieve what you have set yourself out to achieve.

In conclusion, setting monthly intentions is a proactive approach to personal growth and well-being. By aligning your goals with your values, being specific, maintaining a positive mindset, and regularly reviewing your progress, you’ll find yourself on a path of continuous improvement. By embracing the power of intention, your months and, ultimately, your life, will transform.

How to Live in Alignment with the Seasons

”And maybe it’s actually not so much about changing, but more so about becoming the person one always has been. Not finding oneself, but recognising and honouring that self.”

– l.m.v

There’s a timeless wisdom in tuning into the natural rhythms of the seasons. Living in alignment with the seasons is a gentle reminder that, just like nature, we transform. Throughout our lives we learn how to evolve, how to let go, surrender and rest. Let’s explore how we can benefit from aligning our lifestyles with the everchanging seasons.

Winter – A Season of Rest and Introspection

Winter, often associated with stillness, provides an opportunity for rest and introspection. And it’s a beautiful time to learn and practise patience. Just as nature takes a pause to prepare for the next cycle, you too can benefit from slowing down. Embrace the longer nights as a chance to recharge, reflect on the past year, and set intentions for your future; which seeds do you wish to plant and watch grow during spring and summer? Create a cosy, warm vibe at home, indulge in self-care, and allow yourself the luxury of still, quiet moments.

Spring – A Time for Growth and Renewal

As the world awakens from winter’s slumber, so do you. Spring is a season of renewal, growth, and rejuvenation. It’s the perfect time to declutter both your home and your mental space; embracing a fresh start. This is the perfect season to take up a new hobby, or simply spending more time outdoors, soaking in the vibrant energy of this blossoming, vibrant season.

Summer – Embracing Abundance and Excitement

With longer days and warmer temperatures, summer invites you to embrace life’s abundance. It’s a time for more outdoor activities, meetings with loved ones, and travelling, exploring the world around you. Take advantage of the sunshine to boost your mood and energy levels. Whether it’s a chill beach day or a sweaty hike, summer encourages you to fully embrace the richness life has to offer.

Autumn – Harvesting and Letting Go

As the leaves change colours, falling gently to the ground, autumn reminds you of the beauty in letting go. This season is a time for reflection, gratitude, and harvesting the fruits of your labour. Evaluate the goals you set during winter, express gratitude for the abundance in your life, and release what no longer serves you. Embrace the cosy atmosphere of autumn by enjoying a warm cup of tea, and the company of loved ones.

With this being said, living in harmony with the seasons is not just a bow to nature; it’s a conscious choice to align your life with the wisdom that flows around you. By embracing the unique qualities of each season, you can find balance, purpose, and a deeper connection to the world. So, as the seasons change, remember to let yourself dance with nature, and to find joy, inspiration, and fulfilment in every phase of your life.

Unleash the Power of Your Creativity

Creativity is an innate human ability that knows no bounds. It’s a force that propels us beyond the ordinary, sparking innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. In a world that thrives on constant change, fostering creativity has become not just a luxury but a necessity.

”Art is the elimination of the unnecessary.”

– Pablo Picasso

The Essence of Creativity

At its core, creativity is the art of connecting dots that, at first, may seem unrelated. It’s about seeing the world through a different lens, finding inspiration in unexpected places, and daring to think beyond conventional boundaries. Whether you’re an artist, a scientist, or a business professional, tapping into your creative reservoir can unlock novel solutions and fresh, new perspectives.

Embracing a Creative Mindset

The journey towards unlocking creativity often begins with cultivating a creative mindset. This involves embracing curiosity, staying open to new ideas, and being unafraid of taking risks. Creativity flourishes in an environment where mistakes are viewed as stepping stones to innovation, rather than roadblocks.

The Role of Passion and Play

Passion is the fuel that ignites the flames of creativity. When you are deeply passionate about something, your mind are more likely to wander, explore, and stumble upon unique ideas. Incorporating play into your life, whether through hobbies or moments of lightheartedness, also stimulates the creative mind. It encourages experimentation and breaks down the fear of failure.

Breaking Routine and Embracing Diversity

Routine can be both a friend and a foe when it comes to creativity. While it provides structure, too much of it can prevent innovation from coming forth. Changing up your daily routines, exposing yourself to new experiences, and seeking out diverse perspectives are powerful ways to invigorate your creative spirit. Engaging with people from different backgrounds and disciplines can offer new insights that lead to exciting, fresh ideas.

Overcoming Creative Blocks

Creative blocks are inevitable, but they need not be unbeatable. When faced with a creative roadblock, taking a step back, engaging in activities unrelated to the challenge, or seeking inspiration from different sources can help break the negative cycle. Sometimes, or most often, the most creative ideas emerge when your mind is allowed to wander freely.

Nurturing a Creative Environment

Creating an environment that foster creativity is crucial. This includes surrounding yourself with inspiring stimuli, whether in the form of art, nature, people, or literature. Designing physical and mental spaces that encourage free thinking and exploration can have a profound impact on your creativity.

Conclusion

In a world that is constantly evolving, creativity is not just a luxury; it’s a crucial skill for navigating the complexities of life. It’s a force that empowers us to envision a better future, solve problems, and express our unique perspectives. By embracing a creative mindset, nurturing our passions, and fostering a supportive environment, we unlock the potential to reshape the world through the lens of innovation. So, let yourself embark on this journey into the art of creativity, where the possibilities are as boundless as your imagination.

4 mindsets to start the year strong

”It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”

There are a few mindsets that we can implement in our day-to-day life in order to make every day a bit more successful and easy. It’s crucial that we apply mindsets that make our life flow with a little more effortless ease; habits, and a way of thinking, that not only brings more positivity, but introspection into our lives.

Below you’ll find 4 mindsets that will help you start the year strong.

Never stop learning, cause life never stops teaching

Something I’m strongly advocating is to never stop learning. Stay curious – There is always something to learn in this beautiful life! You will find it easier to talk to strangers the more you know; it will be easier to strike up a conversation, and not to forget – all the things you will learn by listening to other humans talk about their passions. Last but not least, learning makes life more exciting and interesting. What are you curious about at the moment, hence what do you want to learn more about?

Small habits performed daily

It’s the consistent, and seemingly small, daily habits that in the long run will have the biggest impact on you. Start small. Start with 5 minutes, 10 minutes, whatever suits you – but do it daily. In order for something to become a habit we need to do it on a regular basis. If you for example are struggling with finding the motivation to exercise; start with 10 minutes every day. And slowly build up the minutes from there. Soon you will notice that you will WANT to work out for a longer period of time; soon those 10 minutes have become 30 minutes.

Self-awareness brings you closer to your goals

Discovering areas in your life where you have challenges, or blocks, highlight places where you are invited to grow, in order to connect with and reach your goals. Take out your paper and pencil and answer the following questions.

What were the biggest challenges in 2023?
These could be life events, transitions that felt difficult to handle, or emotional challenges. List the most prominent challenges that came up.

What are you being asked to learn, let go of, not settle for, etc?

The more self-awareness you have, the easier it will be to make choices and decisions that are grounded in yourself. Let go of everything that doesn’t serve you and start 2024 with a clear strategy.

Don’t wait for the perfect moment, take this moment and make it perfect

You create your life. You’re the one responsible for your own growth and happiness. The power to make this moment special is all yours. One way of doing this is to implement small daily habits that you love and cherish. Habits that make your day a little extra.

There is no one that will come and do all the work for you. Yes, life is filled with kind and inspiring people, and there’s a great deal that we can learn from each other. We should interact with like-minded people on a daily basis; human connection makes us strive and want to progress in life. But the foundation, the work, needs to be done by you. Through trial and error we evolve. We transform and we inspire. Do this for you, but also for the greater good of humanity. A healthy mind is the starting point for a healthy planet.

With this being said, take some time to reflect upon what mindsets you already have, that you want to keep, and new ones you want to incorporate, to make life more transformative and exciting.
