”I may be quiet, but I have so much on my mind.”
Put a pair of sneakers on and walk. This morning I’ve been walking around, enjoying Budapest for almost two hours. Don’t think I’ll ever get tired of strolling around this gorgeous city. A great way to stay active while on ”holiday”. Always remember to pack comfy shoes!
Blue Smurf @Double Shot. Double Shot café in Budapest has the best coffee in town. Although I love my coffee I found a new favourite – Blue Smurf; Coconut milk, algae and honey. Sweet and delicious. And while you’re here, promise you order the avocado toast. Top notch!
Solitude. Spend more time alone. While it’s important, and beautiful, to feel connection and intimacy with others it’s also vital to once in a while seek solitude. Western culture tends to regard people who seek solitude as lonely, sad and antisocial. But seeking solitude can actually be quite healthy, while it allows you to reboot your brain and unwind, and gives you an opportunity to discover yourself and find your own voice. The importance of believing in ourselves. Something I struggle with every day. To achieve optimal wellbeing and peace we need to believe in our strengths and talents. We need to be ourselves, although how scary it might be. Remember, we’re all perfectly imperfect.
Yin Yoga. It’s usually painful (at least for me), but it calms my nerves and makes me more grounded. Stretching at its best. A great complement to high intensity gym sessions.
