Less coffee, more matcha

Rainy Sunday. Sipping on matcha green tea with lemon and manuka. Still feels like I’m suffering from jetlag. I forgot to tell you that I’ve been in Hongkong and Japan for 16 days. A splendid holiday I must say. Japan was different with a very exciting culture. Tokyo was my favourite for sure, although the other cities we visited such as Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka was really nice as well. Wouldn’t mind stepping on a plane again. Travelling is something one should do more often. Experience new cultures, food and people. Gives one perspective! At the moment I think the following places would be on my bucket list: Fiji, Bahamas, New York, Amalfi coast, Rome and Australia.

So back to Japan. Matcha green tea everywhere. Matcha ice cream anyone?! Matcha is the highest quality powered green tea available and has many health benefits, some of them are;

  • High in antioxidants
  • Increases energy levels and endurance
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Increases metabolism and burns fat
  • Has antibiotic properties and promote overall health
  • Boosts memory and concentration
